Gallagher is tireless even though he lacks finesse. Improvement is inevitable with that kind of hardwork.

Obinna, I generally agree with your posts and enjoy reading them. However, not sure about Gallagher: finesse is like class either you have it or you don’t.

His energy is infectious but he has to learn that you don’t always have to make a physical challenge.

I would hope Gallagher can improve with better players around him and as squad more settled. He does bring an extraordinary engine and ability to be a box to box player. He is still only 22, still far off being a first team regular, and of course still open question whether he will become one. Has for CG, as with Frankie Lampard who had his doubters in early stages of his career at West Ham, be a question of how hard and successfully he works on improving. But thought he did pretty well against Liverpool, less rash than in some earlier games.

The problem with Gallagher at Chelsea is that he is forced to play as n.6 and he is kind of 8&10 hybrid. Cover for Mount and we play the guy as Kovacic.

I think Gallagher should work hard and concentrate on being a 6 rather than a 10 or 8 or a hybrid 8&10; what would a player with little to no finesse be doing as a 10 or 8?
