Hi Ed's, was wondering what strikers chelsea could possibly be interested with.

Cfc17

{Ed001's Note - bit soon mate. January window has literally just shut.}

27 Jun 2017 23:33:55
Are we interested in Nelson semedo? I know ma united and Barcelona are bidding for him but since we are upgrading Alonso at lwb shouldn't we be looking for a rwb to replace Moses. I think both Alonso and Moses had great season but imo Alonso was better and if he is getting replaced shouldn't we seek and upgrade on Moses too? Semedo had a great season and is only 23! Also reports suggesting man united could get him for €30 mill which in the long term is a bargain.

Cfc17

1.) 28 Jun 2017 05:32:55
Moses to play at rwb with azpli as a cover. So no worry mate!

2.) 28 Jun 2017 07:16:10
I'm with CFC17. Even though Moses done well last year, if we intend to play Azpi in the middle of the defence, then an upgrade on moses will be needed. Clever teams knew to get at the back you go down our right hand side. Moses was good going forward but suspect at defending. Nelson Semedo would be a definite upgrade and for only €30m (apparently) would be a snip.

3.) 28 Jun 2017 17:43:55
All this talk about Moses. He was phenomenal last year! You've probably only seen Semado play a couple of times if that. You need to respect the guy more.

4.) 28 Jun 2017 18:43:57
Behave yourself mate. He was caught out of position plenty of times. And due to a lack of rotation he was out on his legs for the latter part of the season. A great example of this would be the FA Cup final. He looked shot before half time!

5.) 28 Jun 2017 20:09:03
Come on, be serious, how many times have you seen the guy play? Moses will only improve defensively under Conte, but last season was his first full season as a wing back, and he was brilliant! But instead you want to buy a guy from the Portuguese league for £30m who may or may not fit in? Azpilicueuta is perfect behind Moses. The guy was a huge reason why we were so good last season.

6.) 28 Jun 2017 22:42:06
I would agree moses had a fantastic season but looked a little leggy towards the end . his pace got him away with been out of position many times i think we will all agree.

7.) 29 Jun 2017 05:28:05
Now I have a foot in both yards in this argument. Semedo, the guy is probably going to become one of the best right backs/ rwbs if he keeps on his sharp upward improvement. For the price quoted, he's a steal. If there's a chance we should grab it. If so, Moses and him will rotate and im sure Moses could also play RW if we need. So why not have both?
As for Moses becoming leggy last season don't forget as soon as the season finished he went off to have surgery on an injury. Fair to say he improved out of sight this season and Conte obviously rated him.
Get Semedo, keep Moses, play both.

24 May 2017 21:33:16
Watching the Man U vs Ajax game and I was wondering if w head any interest in Davison Sanchez? He looks incredible. Gullet said he was the best cb Ajax had since stam and he's only 20! Also Bertrand traore looks a real threat maybe he could return to Chelsea and actually get some game time.

Cfc17

{Ed002's Note - Barcelona has an interest in DS. There are clubs interested in buy Traore.}

1.) 25 May 2017 00:13:58
Sanchez really impressed me tonight. One downside could have been he may have been too confident but there's nothing wrong with that. His pace and passing out from the back is sensational. Let's integrate Christensen first before thinking of trying to land him though.

2.) 25 May 2017 07:01:51
Sanchez is apparently really good, but last night he was constantly out of position and he gave the ball away countless times. Yesterday was not his best outing I hope, because it wasn't good.

3.) 25 May 2017 10:00:21
Sorry to jump in on your post but I thought De Ligt was better at 17 yrs old he looks to have an extremely bright future.

4.) 25 May 2017 14:42:58
I agree with you, Dave. Though it's obviously harsh to base on just 1 game. But I wasn't impressed with Sanchez last night. Not impressed at all.

5.) 25 May 2017 18:08:02
Sanchez liked to get on the ball and Utd allowed him to. The reason for that they realised as showed last night he charged forward but didn't know what to do his distribution was awful. Put in couple of good tackles. I agree the 17 year old looked a better prospect.

19 May 2017 12:06:03
Just wondering who are actual main targets are? I know we are interested in morata and lukaku as a replacement for Costa and I know van dijk is a bg target but who else?

Cfc17

1.) 18 May 2017 12:29:30
Would be an fantastic acquisition. Him and Kante would be unbelievable partnership.

2.) 18 May 2017 18:11:25
What happened to Bakayoko? Or are they two different players?

{Ed002's Note - After much research I can confirm that they are indeed different players.}

3.) 18 May 2017 18:51:36
Lol classic Ed002 response there.

4.) 18 May 2017 20:21:57
Now, now no need to be facetious. I meant two different types of players.

{Ed002's Note - Given your inability to articulate how am I meant to understand what you mean?}

5.) 19 May 2017 12:41:04
Warming up for the transfer window!

01 Apr 2017 22:34:46
Just curios what happened to Moses? Is he injured or ill.

Cfc17

1.) 02 Apr 2017 10:12:22
Injured.

2.) 02 Apr 2017 15:00:37
Thanks.

This transfer ban couldn’t have come st a worse time imo
I am very fearful of losing hazard but whatever happens he is a Chelsea legend and is absolutely unreal in terms of football ability. But if we do lose him I’d love to sign Pepe but we can’t!
Up top I would love Icardi but unlikely so I’d also love Jovic. Why can’t this ban come one window later 😫😫
But for the future we really should be looking st our squad and the age of it. Let Willian go along with Barkley Giroud and player sluke Morata Batshuayi and Bakayoko and well have enough room to improve with younger talents. I’d have Jovic and Pepe I’m within an instance, move rlc up to the first team and look to sign a new CB. Also I really like the look of Chilwell and he’ll be excellent in the future.

Cfc17

1.) 16 Mar 2019 17:33:31
I think the ban will be lifted for the next window but I don’t think we will sign more than three players anyway!

2.) 17 Mar 2019 09:58:34
Agreed TomB - I can't imagine that we would buy more than 2 'big' signings in any circumstance and perhaps a player in exchange for Hazard. To be honest, I am ambivalent whether the ban is imposed or not - if not, it will force us to seriously consider a few youngsters - Aina, James, Abraham, Ampudu, Dasilva, Tomori, Chalobah, Sterling, even Bakayoko, Batshuiyi, and Zouma.

3.) 17 Mar 2019 11:28:57
I think we could do with a cerntre half a and a replacement for what we lose. So that would likely be Kova / Hazard for sure plus maybe Willian / Pedro / CHO / Alonso / Zappa.

If not I think we'll struggle next year.

But it's exciting to watch a few players with potential like RLC / CHO / Pulisic.

4.) 17 Mar 2019 13:56:48
I’d be happy for us to do that mdw it’s the only way we’ll ever no if they’re good enough training around the first team and getting game time.

03 Feb 2019 13:41:32
Not saying anything bad about the team or criticising anyone in particular on this site but when we lose or play badly all the comments are about how Kante shouldn’t play in that role and how Alonso is useless and Jorginho can’t make good forward passes. But when we win all the comments suggest Kante doesn’t need to be in his proper role cos he’s just as good in his new position etc. I’m not disagreeing but I’m confused as to how you can criticise everything and then completely change your ideas next game. Farunteed if we lose next game some posters on here will be saying Kante can’t play in that specific position.

Cfc17

1.) 03 Feb 2019 15:48:23
I think when we lose and the mentions go to kante playing where Jorginho isn’t about kante performances or his preferred role it’s thst he could do jorginho role plus add a lot more defensively,

2.) 03 Feb 2019 16:26:42
Matt I'm not so sure he could do the regista role. There is no doubt he is better defensively BUT he isn't as good as Jorginho or Kovacic in distributing the ball out very quickly or being able to do it under press or pressure. Yes he can run with the ball and drive but that will leave the space behing exposed. If Kante plays in that role then it won't be called the regista role, it will be the Makelele role. Sarri doesn't want the Makelele role as it goes against his footballing philosophy. He won't change his style of football for Kante or anyone to that effect. We hired Sarri for his style of football so he can implement it at our club, we didn't hire him so he can change his own philosophy. Kantebin the regista role goes against Sarri's whole philosophy because he expects that regista role whether its Jorginho or Kova to be the engine, the person who touches the ball the most in every game and is able to make numerous types of passes without making mistakes. Kante is brilliant at what he does but passing is his weakness, i'm not saying his a bad passer but he will misplace 1 or 2 in every other game. A misplaced pass from the regista role where he will touch the ball everytime could be costly. You do realise the player playing the regista role is the most active member of the team who touches the ball the most.

The closest to playing the regista role is Kovacic who is equally good in possession and a brilliant passer.

3.) 03 Feb 2019 17:02:56
His assists the other day and the fact we keep possession shows kante is good enough if the ball, he can drive with it forward and would add defensively aspect plus the LCM and RCM could be more creative and attacking: but kante is found brilliant in his role and 9/ 10 I like jorginho in thst role, just hunk Jorginho could be rested for kova for teams in bottom half who will be happy to sit.

4.) 03 Feb 2019 17:33:23
Kante is really good in almost all aspects. His a true example of a humble footballer who works his socks off wherever he plays and is always striving to improve. But is he able to touch the ball or want the ball like the amounts jorginho does? I don't this his ready for that kind of football.

But Matt if he ends up in the Jorginho role then its because Sarri has tweaked his style and is playing him in the Makalele role which is equally effective.

5.) 03 Feb 2019 17:43:55
Effective in defending leads.

6.) 03 Feb 2019 18:12:14
What I mean is it wouldn’t be tweaking his style, I’m saying kante is good enough at passing to play there, like Sarri said it’s not about assist as 45 yards from goal. It’s breaking play pass and move. Kante is sort of lsbbked as a DM who has great engine and tackles, his a very good passer, especially simple passing to move up pitch, But I see what your saying Sarri has his man did that role and don’t change him,

7.) 03 Feb 2019 18:50:37
No doubt Kante could do that role mate, his done it twice and won 2 leagues doing it back to back. His better than Makelele at the role.

But Sarri expects different things from that role. He wants a Pirlo rather than a Makelele. But I must say Kante is superb in the advanced position. The man is a machine.

8.) 03 Feb 2019 19:34:06
Jorghino is a player who offers little creatively or defensively has limited passing ability but has been given a title a bit like Sarris football which people seem to have fallen for.
On top of everything else he's slow and rarely tackles.
If we had a footballer like Fernandinho it would make a huge difference to our side but then he isn't labelled as a Regista.
Sarri Out!

9.) 03 Feb 2019 20:50:22
I’ve never defended Jorginho. I think he’s average at best, the tactics that Sarri uses aren’t built for the prem, he over complicates things. If we had Kante in CDM and Kov + RPC in the CM roles, I believe we would be better off this season.

10.) 03 Feb 2019 20:53:04
CFCShak I don’t know how you're still defending Jorginho? A blind man could be playing his role and have more assists.

11.) 03 Feb 2019 20:49:52
Thats why Pep wanted Jorginho to replace Fernandinho. He must be that bad eh?

Easy saying Sarri out. Just like all the 7 others that went before him in the last 7 years. Embarrassing.

Sarri out and then what?

12.) 03 Feb 2019 21:09:01
Ok TruBlu. Good on you.

13.) 03 Feb 2019 21:35:54
Tactics not built for the premier league. is that why he has the best start of any manager that we've ever had. First 12 games he showed he is more than capable. Anyway i won't bother debating with fans who want a new manager every season.

14.) 03 Feb 2019 21:42:41
TruBlue your comment about Huddersfield beating us 3-0 was that a comment or a prediction?

Also your description about players of Chelsea being deadwood is wrong but sadly you are not alone it making that sort of comment.

Just try and be constructive, you might find it opens up a whole new world.

Turkey, Jorginho had an excellent game yesterday. Yes he is generally struggling to come to terms, in his first season, with the Premiership but like other players befor him I’m sure he will.

Your SARRI OUT comment doesn’t deserve my time, so I won’t make any argument to change your mind.

15.) 03 Feb 2019 21:56:50
Mores the pity Pep didn't buy him it would have weakened them significantly.
As far as manager turnover is concerned it wasnt me who wanted Conte sacked .
The club have seen fit to sign an old man who has won nothing in his career who won't get near a top job after Chelsea.
This has happened because the owner had the hots for Pep andxsettked fir a D grade version.
If you watch Serie A and note how comfortable Bakayoko is looking you might understand why Sarrirollocks won't work in the PL.
The start was good until the rest of the managers figured out just how predictable the tactics are even down to the subs.
Hes a chancer who the club would do well to move on from asap.

16.) 03 Feb 2019 22:07:23
As I said, your opinions don’t deserve my comment.

17.) 03 Feb 2019 22:39:35
Your such a miserable poster. Win or lose. nobody should be as miserble as you. You must have hated the fact that we won over the weekend. Shame on you. Can't believe we have fans like you on board.

Your knowledge of football is basic, your anlaysis of Italian football says a lot about you. Sarri is in his first final already at Chelsea so surely he isn't as bad you make him look.

Support your club!

18.) 04 Feb 2019 08:02:58
Is was a joke TomB, which obviously went over your head.

Willian being deadwood is just my opinion, I’m entitled to have my own opinion. This would be a very boring place if everyone agreed with each other.

19.) 04 Feb 2019 10:06:26
The player you are referring to as “deadwood” is a Chelsea player who has multiple medals at our wonderful club.

You are, of course, entitled to an opinion. No matter how boorish it is.

02 Feb 2019 02:56:57
Let go of the dead wood ie Willian and Pedro, bring in Pepe and have our wingers for next year as Hazard CHO (if we hold onto them) Pulisic and Pepe.
Pulisic can play as a number 10 as well as hazard so we have a lot of options going forward.
Sign a big striker and a proper Centre back to replace Luiz.
Nice Kante back into his original position because not only is he wasted defensively he is one of the worst players forward for us.
Sign an attack minded midfielder to replace Barkley ( or just play either hazard or Pulisic in the CAM role)
Fortify our fullbacks - Azpi deserves his place, never looked poor really but alonso and Emerson just don’t cut it. I like the look of Alex Telles.

Cfc17

1.) 02 Feb 2019 08:34:41
Deadwood Tom you hearing this.

2.) 02 Feb 2019 10:01:10
Does my head in.

Lots of players referred to above have given fantastic service to our club and if you can’t find a different type of terminology to describe them other than “deadwood” why bother saying anything.

Mind you I don’t want to be to precious about it as I’m sure over the seasons I have used worse terms to describe a player!

3.) 02 Feb 2019 15:41:18
Deadwood, People or things that are no longer useful or productive. I wouldn’t put Pedro in that category, but there are definitely some players at our club who are, like Alonso and Willian.

20 May 2018 01:59:16
How would you lot feel about van Ginkel coming into the squad.

Cfc17

1.) 20 May 2018 07:46:29
Why not he certainly deserves a chance to prove himself as do many of the loan contingent rather than buying more average players utilise what we have.

2.) 20 May 2018 10:44:37
As a squad player- Yes.

3.) 20 May 2018 13:32:54
Well he’s at a good age, playing very well, to be fair otsnonly the Dutch league but he may have what it takes to play along side Kante. he's very tall and Europe strong and is the captain of psv, even though he’s on Loan which shows his leadership.

4.) 20 May 2018 21:04:08
I would be very happy with Van Ginkel being given a chance!

19 Apr 2018 16:55:47
Ramsey is crap, he’s always been crap, he always will be crap, he has some good games but other than that he’s crap. Ask any arsenal fan - they say he’s crap. Why do all of you want him?

Cfc17

1.) 19 Apr 2018 19:01:18
Contributed to more goals than most players in league, covers most ground and km’s anf has good pass and tackle on him, underrated player, I would imagine he would have more teams after him Than ozil did before he signed his new deal. Homegrown too.

2.) 21 Apr 2018 10:15:50
Remember that West Ham fans thought that Frank Lampard was crap, called him Fat Frank, and laughed at us for paying £10m for him - didn't turn out too badly!

Ed02 needs to stop whining tbh. Yes there are a few idiots on here who’s don't appreciate him and ask the same stupid question all the time but that’s only like 3/ 4 people. The rest of the posters don’t do anything wrong . All the other Ed’s deal with those 3/ 4 so why can’t ed002?

{Ed002's Note - because they don’t get the abuse that I get from the trash. And posts like this are simply going to get the page shut down - it is what the rubbish like you want.}

I meant hopefully because with him still at the club, we are seem to be holding back on buying lukaku or a new striker. We all know he's going to leave so it's best t happens sooner rather the later.

I have to disagree with Willian. Although I’m not his biggest fan I was at the game and he was one of the only players who actually looked like he wanted to attack. Not a single player in that first half drove forward not even cHo. Second half it changed as Hudson Odoi did more attack wise and impressed but Willian wasn’t my man of the match by far whenever he got the ball he looked forward and when he lost it he won it back straight away.

I was at the game and I have to say I’m happy with the win, the last 10 minutes we looked like scoring a handful however we were poor and boring. The fans around me agreed we never looke to go forward only sideways or backwards. I love Ampadu and think he’s a great talent but I was happy when he came off tbh because he was slowing down every attack and passing backwards constantly. I know it’s possession but against Sheffield Wednesday we should look to score more goals and play better quicker football.

I was thinking there is something wrong because Willian has arguably been our best player for most of this seasom and recently conte hasn’t been starting him, and he was subbed off in the semi finals really early.
