Hey lads, I haven’t been on here as much as I used to but thought I’d share some information.

Now I’ve been here for 12 years on the site and I’ve never claimed to have any sources but I did also share the info that one summer on Bakayoko, as a mate of mine was close friends with him and I did say he was interested in joining us at the time and the deal was likely to go through and he did join eventually (though things didn’t go so well) . I do have the same sort of info for Kounde and I’m told by someone close to him that he’s holding out for Barcelona and that’s part of the reason why the move has stalled, he says he’d be surprised if he didn’t join them.

We’ve been dragged by Barcelona this summer but I’m not too fussed I think we’ve made two good additions already, I wasn’t too keen on Raphinha but being French I must say Kounde would have been perfect for us and it’s a shame that we’d miss out on him but we move on . We can’t be begging anyone to join us, I trust Tuchel and the guys and at the end of the summer we’d surely have a team that would compete for all 4 trophies. Up the Chels.

ELI

1.) 23 Jul 2022 14:33:27
He needs to tell Sevilla that before he tells your mate.

2.) 23 Jul 2022 14:52:56
Pretty sure they are aware, problem has to be Barcelona haven’t moved for him officially I think. I don’t know enough about how these transfers work and the steps taken, I’m simply just sharing, I’d love for my friend to be wrong but here in France very few would pick any other club over the two big Spanish sides. Let’s wait and see. Either way it’s not the end of the world.

3.) 23 Jul 2022 15:06:49
Hope Barcelona go bankrupt never liked them.

4.) 23 Jul 2022 15:25:03
Fair enough, thanks for posting, Eli :)

Kounde's a good player, but I'm not too worried about getting him or not. There's a lot of very talented CBs out there, including in our own squad (Colwill and Trev) . Even with the current options, with Koulibaly added, it's not a horrible situation to be in. We have 4 CBs in Trev, Silva, Koulibaly and Colwill. That's sufficient if Tuchel is willing to move to a system with 4 defenders instead of 5 (considering we play defenders as wingback in a 343).

Now Silva is not ideally suited to a 4 man back line at his age, but if we play a defensively strong DM in front of them I think it should work. And if Tuchel really wants another young CB in the fold, I honestly don't know why the club aren't looking to re-sign Guehi. He was one of the league's best CBs already last season, is brilliant on the ball and reads the play exceptionally well. He'd make a good pairing with a more proactive defender like Koulibaly (or Colwill once he's gained more experience hopefully) .

Saliba's another CB, though sadly Arsenal seem to have wisened up to his immense talent and he'll stay with their team.

I'd just save the extra "CB money" and spend it on a strong DM, unless Tuchel is willing to try Ampadu in the role he used Marquinhos in at PSG. Played as a DM that dropped to the back line as an additional defender as well. Ampadu's ideally suited for that.

I just hope the club won't sign another CB, just to get another CB. It has to be the right one. Saying let's go for Gvardiol again now that Kounde is not feasible doesn't make sense, as one is a RB/ CB hybrid while the other is a LCB/ LB hybrid. It's very different.

5.) 23 Jul 2022 15:54:56
Really enjoyed reading the above posts from ELI and Jackson.
Thanks Guys.

6.) 23 Jul 2022 16:14:42
Thanks ELI for sharing that info.

I totally agree Jackson, I think having a strong DM would help us a lot, someone like Rice (I know it's hard to get him), which can also switch back to CB.

Also I think we need to consider investing more in the forward line as well. But to do that, we need to first sort out our current forwards.
I'd say let's sell Pulisic, Werner and Ziyech, keep Broja and add another versatile forward who can play everywhere in the forward line.

7.) 23 Jul 2022 18:04:43
Eli, thanks for the information, I think your friend is right apparently Kounde has posted some BS about fulfilling his dreams-big yawn! Jackson, I disagree as much as a midfielder would be nice but not Rice this season, our defence can’t stay as it is. Silva will play limited games, Colwill is a talent but inexperienced and Chalobah is not good enough. If we had to we could survive without signings in midfield but not in defence.

8.) 23 Jul 2022 18:31:36
I’m not too fussed on Kounde either personally I’ve always advocated for Fofana if we get a centre back in who’s quality in a back 3 or four and been immense since joining apart from his big injury. I’d normally stay away from players until we see how they return but watching him the last couple of months last season he’s returned just fine.

Go big for Fofana and keep Colwill and we’re sorted.

9.) 23 Jul 2022 20:57:04
Sorry to trouble you ED02 but is there any interest in Fofana from Chelsea? Having read the posts I have not seen any link whatsoever.

{Ed002's Note - Yes, he is on the lengthy list of CBS Chelsea are interested in.}

10.) 23 Jul 2022 21:09:01
Hopefully shift our attention to him but it’ll be costly I think he’s work it though. Great 1v1 defender he was locking down Mbappe and Neymar at 19 for St Etienne.

11.) 23 Jul 2022 21:28:33
Thanks ED02, much appreciated.

26 Jan 2022 17:38:46
Did Newcastle really bid, 40 odd million for Borja? Wow if that’s true that’s a lot for a 19 year old who has only played 6 months in the EPL .

If they are willing to go to 60m I wouldn’t mind if we sold.

ELI

1.) 26 Jan 2022 18:31:33
Personally I think he’s good enough to play for Chelsea. I’d like to see us keep him.

2.) 26 Jan 2022 20:12:23
Considering how underwhelming our first team strikers have been I don't see why we'd sell for anything other than a ridiculous offer like 100m. Broja could easily save us 50-60 mio in a year or 2, and he's on a long term contract. Why would we sell?

3.) 26 Jan 2022 21:31:28
Agree with the both of you, I do think he’d make it in our team! But as I said 60m got a 19 year old, that’s a lot and in the grand scheme of things I’d understand if the club did sell! That’s just a scenario I’ve come up with though, I don’t see anyone offering that much for him so I do hope he stays with us and gets into the team next season!

4.) 27 Jan 2022 07:54:32
Who knows though, Newcastle might just be crazy enough :p.

5.) 27 Jan 2022 15:20:07
It’s simple- the boy (Armando Broja) has got ability. He’s clearly showing week in week out what we don’t have in our team. The club has to be crazy if they sold him now (with all the interest from different clubs) without giving him the opportunity to show what he can do with the team. Personally, I have posted way before now that he came simply replace Timo Werner in our squad.

6.) 30 Jan 2022 04:46:09
My thought is that they have seen something in him which us obvious. I believe it was a mistake sending him out on loan. Could have been better than lukaku so far and broken into the team with little or no pressure. Coupled with our injury crisis ib the attack.
Again I feel it was a mistake too selling lamptey. We may not be doing enough to back tt which is a concern for me. The team has obvious shortcomings but not enough is done to sorting them out.

18 Aug 2020 17:51:54
Okay guys hope you’re ready for this (it’s all in the spirit of the crazy Rumours we used to have here back before) . Plus, the page isn’t really active today so thought I’d try and liven it up.

So I was on the Official Chelsea page and there was a quiz on Werner so I decided to take it. Basic trivia stuff but then.

One of the last questions pops up and it reads “Timo was the youngest player to reach 50 appearances in the Bundesliga but who has now overtaken him?! ”

The answer Havertz 👀. They go on to explain “the current Bayer Leverkusen youngster recently overtook our latest signing” (Warning; might be paraphrasing ) . They could have just said “The Bayer Leverkusen youngster or the young German midfielder”. Am I right?! (Say Im right. )

This is a hint it’s almost as clear as when a posters hair dresser whose brothers friend is cousin to a guy that knows a guy who has links, in other words I just more or less confirmed the signing. Rest easy lads it’s happening . 😎 No need to thank me.

ELI

1.) 18 Aug 2020 18:24:07
Haha ELI I’ve just done that and think everyone’s saying the same mate. They’re definitely toying with us fans. Apparently we’ve been set a deadline to agree a deal before Leverkusen start pre season on the 28th so let’s hope it’s sorted already 🤞🏻 Think we start pre season on Friday but I’m more concerned there’s no new keeper here yet.

2.) 18 Aug 2020 19:32:38
Havertz is a Chelsea player, he just hasn't been announced.

I would love to know who we will get for defence. My best guess:
Taglliafico + Rice.

3.) 18 Aug 2020 20:15:55
WC28, Ed always warns us off paying too much attention with anything with a time scale on it, with regards to transfers.

As for our keeping problem, after Havertz I think the most important thing would be replacing Kepa and then a LB for me. I believe our centre backs can be coached and though I’d still like to see some one come in to solidify that position a GK and Lb are a most. We all know Alonso is top class in a back three but I don’t think that’s Lakps préfèred system.

4.) 18 Aug 2020 20:58:49
I read somewhere that Marina and Cech want to keep Kepa, because it's hard to sell him with a good price at the moment. That's why they want to bring a cheaper GK to challenge him and also work on him more.

I think with our defending we have a DM problem. We need a good DM, that's why bringing Rice in would be a massive addition. He can cover CB and DM both.
A new LB will be added but the question is who? I Taglliafico is a better option. I was all for Chilwell, but I guess we have stepped away from that deal. He is just too expensive at the moment.

5.) 19 Aug 2020 08:28:13
I don't think we need a DM, we have one of the best in the world, just need to keep him fit. Plus there are a couple to bleed into that position in Gilmour and Ampadu, who plays well there for Wales. Would love to see Rice come in a played at CB.

If we are going to get a cheap GK to challenge Kepa, I think Romero from Man U would be a great shout. He has always looked good whenever I've seen him play and has knowledge of the EPL.

29 Jul 2020 22:45:04
Apparently Havertz would feature for Leverkusen in the Europa league. Things not looking as certain as we all hoped. Not going to get ahead of myself with this one for all we know it’s all noise like Ed002 said.

Also, Ed002 hasn’t given any positive update on this so I don’t think he is close to signing for the club. 😬.

ELI

1.) 29 Jul 2020 22:53:10
Eli it's a big money move, stuff like this takes time. The club wouldn't go through what they have if they didn't feel an agreement wouldn't be reached. However Any updates from any of the Ed's would be appreciated though, if not then no worries!

{Ed018's Note - just have a little patience with this one. I think everything will turn out fine}

2.) 29 Jul 2020 23:19:01
Thanks ed! Hope you are well?

Do you feel confident about this pulling through then? (Won't take it as gospel but just your own opinion haha)

{Ed018's Note - I’m well. I think it’ll get completed in due time}

3.) 29 Jul 2020 23:27:46
Totally agree Mc1993 and Ed018, I personally believe Havertz will be à Chelsea player come the 5th of October, but I for one have gotten ahead of myself already teasing my brothers on how our attack of Werner, Pulisic, Ziyech, Mount and Kai is going to wreck Europe next season.

Just perhaps giving myself a reality check that nothing is set in stone YET!

4.) 29 Jul 2020 23:42:21
I completely agree, I think as fans we tend to get ahead of ourselves! Hopefully in due course this gets completed.

5.) 30 Jul 2020 00:04:20
Well right now Leverkusen seem adamant on the fee of 100m euros.

Chelsea are obviously trying to lower that fee and the reported 80m euros isn't far off.

I think given that Havertz is pushing for the deal makes it more difficult for Bayer to persist on 100m euros and I'm sure they will accept a lower fee. I don't think we would have gone this far with the player if we didn't think it could happen. let's not forget Havertz will be on his final year of contact next summer.

PS: out of curiosity how do you know the media reports are even true? This deal seems to have gone quiet and are these journalists making stuff up because its gone quiet.

6.) 30 Jul 2020 00:13:01
Very true CFCShak, like Ed's have said in the past it could just be all noise.

7.) 30 Jul 2020 00:24:06
ELI your not the only one because there are big fan accounts on Twitter taking the mic with the Havertz deal and already disputing with rival fans on how we have the best attack despite not signing the player 😐

It will be a reality check for many including myself if it doesn't happen.

{Ed018's Note - be patient}

8.) 30 Jul 2020 09:33:13
The season has even finished yet! We still have 2 matches to play! There is no rush!

Want, want, want - why do people demand signings be confirmed ASAP. Let’s concentrate on FA Cup Final and Game against Bayern first. Then let’s go from there.

We’ve got until October to do a deal with players.

Just relax, enjoy life and celebrate when it’s all confirmed officially.

9.) 30 Jul 2020 15:56:30
I am glad that Havertz is staying to play in the Europa for BL - it shows commitment. Tbh, I was disappointed that Werner didn't stay to play in the CL.

Imagine if we had been selling Hazard this summer and he had decided to leave while we still had European commitments - we'd be livid with him.

10.) 30 Jul 2020 19:32:01
Personally speaking I can't see how Hazard would have ever done that to us. He would have drained every ounce of sweat for the shirt before he left. LEGEND.

14 Jul 2020 16:04:12
Just a little info: Like Ed002 said Havertz moving doesn’t depend on champions league football, same thing has been echoed by BBC, a little snippet of Ed002 calling things before the press so let’s just appreciate his intel. (Shout out to Olive as well 👀) .

That said I still want 3rd, finishing above united.

ELI

1.) 14 Jul 2020 16:57:47
I think United will take 3rd. Our fixtures really aren't easy. If we manage to get our act together tonight and beat Norwich we should be close to top 4. Can't see Leicester beating both Sheffield and Spurs. And then they have United after.

2.) 14 Jul 2020 17:20:49
I think three points tonight may well be enough to see us into next seasons Champions League.

COME on MY MIGHTY BLUES.

3.) 14 Jul 2020 17:26:06
I agree with Jackson and expect United to finish 3rd because of easier fixtures and string of more solid performances from a generally more experienced/ deeper squad than ours. Kante injury worrying, and would prefer he was rested for FA Cup semis that rushed back a couple of days early only to break down again.

I think Leicester will drop some more points, but we just have to win tonight with LFC and Wolves to come (leave aside the United semi-final this weekend, which may make those two games that much harder, especially if we pick up more injuries) .

4.) 14 Jul 2020 22:43:52
Ed2, in relation to the Havertz transfer, has the player indicated to Chelsea that he would like to play for them or is he yet to make a decision. Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - You mean did he wink. You need to get out of the mindset of expecting blow by blow updates.}

5.) 14 Jul 2020 23:16:23
He is joining Shak.

6.) 14 Jul 2020 23:10:06
Fair enough ed2. You hear so much stuff and it get to a point you don't know what to believe. I've heard he wants to play for Chelsea and I've also heard his not sure and hasn't made a decision yet.

{Ed002's Note - It is all just noise.}

7.) 14 Jul 2020 23:46:00
You seem very sure Tom. Have you heard anything or is it just a punt?

8.) 15 Jul 2020 00:28:20
I think your right there Ed. It would appear to be just noise.

As far as I'm aware I don't think the clubs have even communicated formally yet. I think will just wait and see what happens in the next few weeks.

20 May 2022 09:02:43
Who can watch our team and tell me Reece isn’t far and away our most talented player. Head and shoulders above the rest for me. Brilliant, brilliant player, and apparently quite a man off the field as well. Not going to make comparisons with Trent Alexander-Arnold but my word I wouldn’t take any other RB/ RWB in the world over Reece tbh, future captain perhaps.

He’s the future of our club. Hope he stays fit next season, with Chilwell coming back could make a significant difference.

ELI

1.) 20 May 2022 09:59:57
I think he is the best RWB/ RB in Europe.

I always thought that MM would be our skipper next season but putting aside next season as I think it will be Silva, I think James could well be a better choice than MM. I prefer defenders as skippers anyway.

2.) 20 May 2022 10:31:26
James is our only world class player in my eyes he’s an absolute colossus. Next captain for sure.

3.) 20 May 2022 16:28:06
Agree simply because kante is slipping slighty because of injuries etc.

4.) 20 May 2022 16:59:46
I'd say Mount is ahead, but RJ is an absolutely fantastic player.

5.) 20 May 2022 19:03:39
How do you mean ashk Mount being aheadd.

6.) 20 May 2022 20:48:57
I'd have James captain and Mount vice.

7.) 20 May 2022 20:52:36
James and Mount are both class. But James is world class. Mount has been inconsistent but people forget he is only 23 and still our best attacker.

8.) 22 May 2022 00:55:28
Neither James nor Mount are experienced enough to be club captain and hold your horses when bandying around world class. James is a top class player but you have to do more for longer to be properly regarded as world class. I know we are are biased but get a grip.

9.) 22 May 2022 03:51:26
I agree Jimbo. Still too soon to be saying any of them are world class. But they might be in a few years.

10.) 22 May 2022 09:42:46
Ashk James can certainly reach those heights if he continues as he is: let’s get his contract extended ASAP.

11.) 22 May 2022 10:01:33
Calm down Jimbo put the controller down.

12.) 22 May 2022 14:02:14
What are you lot on about hold your horses?! Liverpool apart, (because Klopp likes Trent) Reece James would get a game for ANY and EVERY team in the world, he is world class. and he has the medals to prove it. It’s You lot that want to get a grip. Coming on here to a Chelsea website and telling us fans Reece James ain’t world class. Cluelesss. and go for the debate if you want. Name me three in the world you would take over Reece. In fact name me one?

13.) 22 May 2022 14:19:45
Stephen you a spot on. I don’t take kindly to someone telling me to get a grip either. Some of these kids need to learn manners.

14.) 22 May 2022 16:57:35
You two need to calm down, I said James was top class and could be world class- I guess it depends how you define world class but it is bandied around far too easily in my opinion, which I am entitled to. Medals are irrelevant Jordan Henderson has medals and Dave has them all but with all due respect to him I wouldn’t describe him as world class.

12 May 2022 09:19:09
Mason Mount is some player top top talent. Second only to Reece James in our squad in terms of talent, quality and potential ceiling. Great win yesterday, hope Kova isn’t too hurt . Looking forward to the final.

Chelsea, Chelsea, Chelsea, Chelsea.

ELI

06 Apr 2022 17:20:59
Bring back Broja and Conor. Sign one of Joao Felix/ Dembele and one of Rice/ Tchouameni. A back up Lwb and a few others depending on the players that leave and I think we’d have a solid team!

That said looking forward to the game this evening, hopefully we see the same type of performance as we did against Juventus .

ELI

1.) 06 Apr 2022 18:26:13
Eli, sounds like a plan let’s just hope we have the money to bring in those type of players. As for tonight, Real are better than last year: we aren’t, so it’s a 50/ 50 tie which may be decided by individual performances.

28 Mar 2022 20:51:27
I don’t think any other clubs fans skate their own players as much as ours. It’s crazy, thought I’d put some positivity on our 3 young players and Mase gets slated, don’t get me wrong by no means am I claiming he’s A Lampard regen or the next Cantona but the lad is actually a really good player, does he have a lot to improve on yes he does, but he's what 22? Give him time and support.

ELI

1.) 29 Mar 2022 03:04:07
TT obviously thinks he is a player that when fit should always start for our club.

At the start of this season I gave my reasons why I thought he would find it harder to play his game this season.

He was deservedly our POS last season and I’m sure he will be POS again in the years to come.

2.) 29 Mar 2022 07:33:12
Fully agree Tom, I remember your post re MM pre season, and fully agreed with it!
All I wish to say is that " the cream will eventually rise to the top".

3.) 29 Mar 2022 09:21:05
You are 100% correct ELI, a few on here just slate players all the time and have very little to say when we are winning. We all know who they are.
As for Mount, he will continue to develop and improve.
What will be interesting is where CG fits in? TT sees him as a Kante like player but with more attacking ability. I see him as an 8 but I have a feeling TT may use him in the Kante role.
One thing is for sure though, we have a great squad going forward.

4.) 29 Mar 2022 10:39:26
The people that slate Mount don't have a functional brain. To bother with them ELI.

5.) 29 Mar 2022 11:51:06
Ashk, they do have a functioning brain, they just see player’s performance differently and that’s ok with me.

I do remember a couple of posters referring to Mount as a Championship player who found his level at Derby. That was the same season he was voted our POS. Also, some posters made personal comments about Mount and his continued first team selection.

For me, we just continue to build a team around Havertz, Mount, Kovacic and for the next few seasons Kante.

I haven’t included Jorginho because I think he may well leave at the end of this season.

6.) 29 Mar 2022 14:52:11
For goodness sake, just because some people don’t rate Mount as highly as others do doesn’t mean they don’t have a functioning brain- what kind of objective argument is that? As far as having a great squad going forward, we will have to see how the new owners conduct business. We all have an idea who may leave and who we would like to go but as for incomings apart from players on loan that is up in the air. Whether with our current players we are able to close the gap on City and Liverpool remains to be seen.

7.) 29 Mar 2022 21:35:23
Told you, slaughtered for having a different opinion. I don’t like TT as a manager and said it for a while that’s my opinion, think he’s done well over the last month with all the stuff that’s gone off and represented the club really well but still don’t like his slow pressing football he wants us to play, again there’s another opinion on our style of football. We all have opinions that’s what makes us different.

8.) 29 Mar 2022 22:49:59
That’s correct Nib, we all have different opinions and that’s why football is such fun to debate.

I respect your opinions and I’m sure you respect other posters opinions!

9.) 31 Mar 2022 07:31:13
Mount has the most big chances created in all comps 13, most assists 12 and 4th highest goals 8. I don't see how you wouldn't rate him. He's best his previous seasons stats every season and is further along in his career than lampard was at this age. I'm not sure what more the lad can do.

10.) 31 Mar 2022 10:24:15
Re MM. Great player, an academy product and English. Absolutely brilliant. He is everything that is good about Chelsea FC, a real credit to the staff, the fans, and the club. Can’t wait to get more like him into the fist team squad.

04 Mar 2022 08:56:52
I love the club, so much so that one bad result ruins my entire week! Chelsea will forever hold a part of my heart, in due thanks to Roman.

It’s been hard to take honestly, with him selling the club. Huge thanks to Mr. Abramovich for 20 amazing years and setting us up for decades more of success (hopefully) . Like most Chelsea fans I’m gutted, don’t know what to expect in the near future but one thing’s for sure just like Roman and most of you on here, Win, lose or draw, I bleed Chelsea blue!

Up the Chels.

ELI

1.) 04 Mar 2022 18:52:41
Absolutely, Eli, good post! We don't support the owner, we support the club. But like you and probably many others, I will very much miss having Roman as Chelsea's owner. His apparent passion for the club was infectious, it always brought a smile to my face when I saw him celebrating a Chelsea win or a Chelsea goal.

There won't be another owner quite like Roman. But let's hope the new ownership don't let everything Roman (and Bates before him) built go to waste. The same efforts have to be made to maintain the standards the Cobham academy and the women's team have set. They're crucial components of Chelsea and that has to be preserved.

With all that said, the statements I've read from that Swiss guy do not fill me with confidence.

I haven’t posted on here in forever, but I do check it once in awhile. The page used to be awesome but it seems to have dwindled in the past year or so which is quite sad but it is what it is. With that said, I find it quite shocking for but for you to come on here and say that about someone who works really hard that is such a fleeting statement. For what reason would you call him a conman? He has amassed a lot of followers and respect in what he does, maybe you wouldn’t say he’s a traditional journalist, but my word to think he’s a conman. He doesn’t put an effort and work to have reached away has now it’s just disrespectful. In my opinion.

I do think he’s quite reliable and he always gives credits to the journalist who breaks the news first not to mention the number of exclusives. He has himself a seat covers also 7 to 10 leagues minimum a day. You saying this perhaps kind of makes me understand why Ed doesn’t share anymore on this page, it’s easy to sit down and write about people without actually knowing how hard they’ve worked and the effort they put into what they do.

Sorry for the rant, but I just popped onto page after a while and this was one of the first post I saw on I remembered why I actually stopped posting on here, I hope everyone is doing well, buzzing for the start of the new season.

KTBFFH.

Disagree with you Tom! Somethings are more important than football. I echo what bluekaz stated.

Agreed Ashk, a lot on here have been asking to see that front three. Ziyech being the obvious choice for rotation/ depending on the opposition. Also Reece being back is huge . Boy did I miss him.
