I’m so happy with all our signings this window my only concern is that we actually need most of them in our UCL squad but can only register 3 new signings
My fellow posters and Eds, who are the 3 signings you would register?

I have to be honest. I didn't want to sign him at that price but it's not my money, am sure they know what they are doing with the money side of things.

{Ed001's Note - from what I have seen he is an excellent playmaker with a bit of bite about him, but it is a very small sample size. I mean he has only had 6 months in Europe excelling in essence. I have only seen him a couple of times. From what I saw they had another midfielder, whose name escapes me now, doing the donkey work so he was freed up to get on the ball and make things happen. On the ball he did look a special talent though.}

I do think a Declan rice / caiceido type will be a priority in summer, I personally hope the spending is minimal from now on and build on all these great young players, we’ve spent to catch up now there’s a reason we took these shooting directors and scouts etc is to fond the hidden gems like Brighton / benfica have done.

I agree with the 3 BB, MM and EF. Ideally would have JF in as he seems like he’ll be useful but would be savage to exclude a signing for someone who’s only on loan.

So I thought they add one to make it to 25 and then need to remove 3 to add the other 3.

I think he is a player who will always frustrate with his finishing. I just don’t see it changing but I’m happy for him to stretch defences and with his overall work rate.

Beachcruiser nwanne m; we all know that Werner’s finishing has being below par, but let’s just drum up support for him cos the way I see it- Werner will be very instrumental to us this season like he was last season, it’s still not late yet, this season can still be his breakthrough season.
Werner sure has problem finishing but his off-the-ball runs are superb and should be commended, his runs can create a lot of space for his team mates. Liverpool’s Firmino doesn’t score much but just like Werner he’s very instrumental to the team even when he’s not scoring. So guys let’s drum up some support for Werner this season and be patient with him.

Good morning everyone, so I came across a post on the Liverpool page and one poster was waxing lyrical about Kloop being the best manger right now and how other managers are SPENDING it catch up. it’s seems he has a short memory on how Kloop spent to also catch up on other managers;Allison, Salah, Van Dijk Fabinho and co. seems to me they are already making excuses even b4 the season ends.
{Ed077's Note - I wouldnt include Salah and Fabinho in any argument to prove Klopp's "chequebook management." Both of them (individually) cost less than Ben Chilwell for example.}

Transfer values in general terms are always on the increase for the best players so comparing Salah price in 2017 to our players in 2020 isn't a fair reflection of the situation.
As an example Keita cost more than Salah.
The Van Dijk transfer fee at the time seemed very very expensive and would probably equate to close to £90/ 100m today.

Klopp apparently didn’t want salah and wanted Brandt, how different it could of been for Liverpool and klopp, and klopps winning seasons in prem and champions league came after spending £150m on two players which speaks volumes, klopps a great manager, has teams pressing so well, teams may have sussed Liverpool so will see how he deals with it this season, I think they’ll be pushing all season personally, and spending money adds pressure so hard to judge because one spends and others don’t, I’m sure klopp would love to be at a club run so well they have transfer budget like other clubs, that said he would of been sacked at us for his first two seasons knowing our history with managers.

They talk about net spend until it suits other clubs. Learning to ignore Liverpool fans as they are usually the most biased and hard to reason with. That being said, the guys on the Liverpool site are generally pretty good guys, unlike the Liverpool fans on social media.

The last few years our club has been run very efficiently including the use of our transfer budget but we cannot and should not forget the early Roman years when our Net spend was huge.
Other clubs have now got significant Net spends and that’s ok with me. They are entitled to look for success.

Beach cruiser, I am bothered about Kounde, he is regarded as one of the best young CBs in Europe. He is the same age as Chalobah who has played a couple of games for Chelsea. Kounde has played over 60 games for Sevilla and around 50 in Ligue Un for Bordeaux and 2 caps for France. Christensen and Rudiger have yet to sign contract extensions. There is no guarantee that if we go back in January or next summer that we will get Kounde as I think he is on Real Madrid’s radar.

Jimbo, from what I have seen from chalobah so far, I think he can do a job and he seems ready for the EPL. I would have loved the kounde deal to happen but we needed CDM the most and we have one in Saul so I’m relax and happy with this transfer window. Time to win the league.

Beach cruiser I agree a midfielder was needed more than a CB. We are okay for CBs this season but I was looking looking beyond that: Dave is 32, this will be Silva’s last season. I think Rudiger will price himself out of a new contract although I think Christensen will extend his contract. Therefore next summer we will possibly be scrambling around for a CB and a lot more clubs will be looking at Kounde.

I feel it’s best we go for Alex telles. he’s a better and cheaper option to chilwell. Telles will cost in the region of 30-40mil while chilwell will command 60mil and above and we can use the 20mil+ to strengthen other areas of the pitch.

Personally am tired of the the hazard situation, he keeps mentioning his love for Madrid and how he would make a decision next summer. am not even worried about loosing him anymore because I believe we can replace him with two quality players (pulisic and under) and we would b fine. and I believe the Timo Werner lad can do a job as our striker;he’s fast (very), strong and a great scorer, and he won’t cost fortune.
