Maybe some of you guys managed to catch the Villa v Utd game?

I’m just wondering how you all feel we will get on against them next weekend?

Putting aside there two goals I wasn’t overly impressed. I think they will struggle against our wide players and if fit I would start with Eatavao on the right and ask Neto to play on the left.

I did watch Tom and though Villa won United might count themselves a bit unlucky not to have got something from the game. A bit like our game v Newcastle it was played at pretty high tempo and with chances for more goals. Fair bit of skill on display by both sides.

But certainly United impressed me rather more than Villa, certainly did better than I expected them to and perhaps Villa expected them to. Villa looked good in patches though and there were those two great goals - one particularly special - from someone I think you've rightly admired there namely Morgan Rogers. And they have got into the habit of finding ways in which to win.

But perhaps winning ten games in a row in all comps may have taken a bit out of Villa in terms of energy. I certainly hope so and they did play a day later than we did at the weekend for what it's worth. It is hard to judge how Villa will play against us later this week but I would hope we had a treasinable chance of beating them.

But unlike you and much tghough I hugely rate him I would start with Garnacho on one side and Neto on the other and then bring Estevao - coming back from injury as he is - on from the bench for whichever of G or N looks more in need of a rest/has had less of an impact.

Tom, I agree with your winger formation but it won’t happen.

Would start neto as a striker if I have to start estaveo. Garnacho is wasteful and wouldn't mind neto and estaveo on the flanks. Joao pedro is not troubling defenders enough reason I continue to be annoyed for sending Jackson away.
