I have seen mixed reports about whether we were in for him or not? ED01, any idea if we were in for Marc Guehi? and also if we are in for any other CB?

{Ed001's Note - you made an enquiry and he said no thank you he wanted to go to Liverpool. That is as far as it got. If he had been interested, you would have been making a bid, but he wasn't.

I haven't heard anything on who you are looking at now instead, but there must be someone as you don't just stop looking when you get a rejection, you move down your list. I don't have any names as of now though sorry.}

Thanks ED01 for clearing that up. I had heard the same that we did make an enquiry but he wanted Liverpool over staying in London and joining us. You are also 100% right that we must be looking at someone, so I wonder who is next on the list? a few rumours it might be Konate?

{Ed001's Note - Konate is deciding between staying put or leaving on a free to join Madrid or PSG next summer. I can't see Chelsea even thinking he would prefer them over those two to show interest. But then, I guess if you don't ask you don't get. It would go against the recent policy of reducing the wage bill, as he is asking for a lot of money from Liverpool, which is why no new deal is done. Though me grandad always used to tell me that those who ask don't get and those that don't ask don't want.}

ED01, The Konate to Chelsea rumours are picking up with Leoni possibly going to your lot with Guehi? It would be a huge signing for us and add that bit of experience as well but like you say he will probably end up at Real Madrid or PSG.

I’m not sure if we would pay higher wages for Konate than Liverpool.

If we sign another CH I think we already saw him play about 60mins against us when playing for BL.

Good player who is quick and two footed but I just can’t see them selling him in this window plus he is very similar type of player to Hato in my opinion.
