A New Financial Fairplay forecast shows us to be over 200m in the red for a record breach. Just under twice the limit.

Does anybody still want to say our spending has been mature? Because all I see is complete and utterly amateur business being done.

Bit of a shame. I dislike breaking rules.

If they have, I’m sure the club will be punished.

The Swiss Ramble just gave an updated summary and a lot of people see them as being reasonable judges.

I mentioned before how I feel the term is almost “weaponised”.

Maybe if people have some evidence they should become whistleblowers to the authorities.

Alexander, the club employ people to scrutinise and access these things, and they no doubt advise the board and management. Yes the club have spent huge money, but, they have also sold over 200 million in players this window with possibly more to come.
I am not (and would never claim to be) an expert, but I feel the club spotted a loophole that aligned with their Vision 2030 project and with long contracts allowing amortisation over a longer period of time (which has continued this window until rule changes come in) has allowed the club to conduct a squad rebuild in 1 year rather than 10 years if 4 and 5 year contracts were agreed with new players purchased. The fact that Caicedo and Lavia chose to join us (with no European football this year) only emphasizes the clubs vision.
So I would say, whilst some on this site only see the here and now, others see the long term vision.
So Alexander I see the club has been very professional (rather than amateur, your words) in their dealings, so will be interesting to see whether your half empty glass or my half full glass wins out.
Lets have another chat after Luton, Forrest and an international window!
Only want to say, although we sometimes disagree on here, we all actually only want the best for our club!

Thankyou for a good reply kiwi Pete. My English is not the best so I hope I have not been misunderstand. Tom, the same. I don't want the new owners to leave but I am unsure about the strategy of spending 1 billion pounds and still missing a goalkeeper, a striker and a winger. Not sure about it at all. Spending 40 million on a 3rd choice keeper and a mls keeper while selling 2 ucl winners for 17 million is bad business at best. Signing million players to our bloated squad with no hope to ecer play for first team is also strange.

Thankyou Pete. Just worried and afraid of our club being finished because it is certainly a possible ending if these players end up flops and we can't sell them just like lukaku and cucurella and mendy ziyech.

Sanchez did not cost £40m

You continue to quote our gross spend over three windows and NEVER the nett spend and you don’t see any spend on players, that was overdue, as an investment.

Further to my above post. I now see you were referring to £40m being spent on two keepers, not on Sanchez.

I also note on your post below how fluent your English was is that post but more importantly my memory hasn’t played tricks on me. You did make a call for TB OUT.
