Poch, in my opinion Disasi is a total liability. He dive in all over the place in an effort to please the fans.

I have no idea if the Bournemouth deal is a loan with an option or obligation?

Now I'm hearing we are going to loan Jackson to BM.

Do you have to be good at the SD job to loan players out who the club value at £70 -80mil?

Bill, I think the preference for Jackson is a sale or a loan with an “obligation” to buy. A loan with an obligation could be financially beneficial if we also get a loan fee.

Contrary to some people’s opinion I think generally the SD’s have done a reasonable job. Obviously the owners do having extended there contracts.

Tom

I have not seen if it's a loan with an obligation or just a loan.

I did read previously the BM just wanted a straight loan but I guess the details will be known soon enough.

What are your thoughts if it is only a straight loan? Bearing in mind, he is valued by us a circa £70 mil.

Bill, I have said I wouldn’t sell him. If we loan him with an option, I wouldn’t mind but the option would have to be excessive.

We have no idea if Pedro and Delap can deliver. On what they promise in a season when we play a lot games and we want to over achieve in the Champions League.

So I guess Jackson on loan could be seen as an insurance policy if things don’t work out.

The issue with Jackson is perhaps down to the fact we extended his contract just less than a year ago, and I believe he still has 7-8 years on his deal now? (I may be a tad wrong but around that) as such it’s slightly difficult to find someone who would match both our valuation + the contract value. Although perhaps Jackson would accept a 5-6 year deal on similar wages elsewhere if he had more of a guarantee in terms of playing.

On the other hand perhaps the SD’s are hedging their bets a little. The ST market is practically bare and whilst Pedro, Delap and even young Guiu show promise, there’s no guarantee they’ll succeed. In Jackson although he missed a fair amount of chances he did score a somewhat decent amount across the 2 seasons.
