This is probably just wishful thinking on behalf of the sender and I personally hope it's not true but I've just been messaged by a mate who says there is a strong rumour of a 9am board meeting being called. My bet would be that this is just normal procedure and people are making 2+2=5.

Tom

Hopefully it equals 4, this cannot continue with a toxic atmosphere at the Bridge, it just will not help with player confidence.

I wanted Poch to succeed and I believed he was the right person to guide these youngsters but his tactics, substitutions and him coming out stating his job is not safe suggests that he feels his time is up and maybe the players know it as well.

I'm sure TS's wife also does not help matters and I won't be sorry to see her ho at the end of the season.

Simon Johnson on talksport this morning says it's being reported in Argentina that Enzo has a serious groin problem that may require surgery.

Obviously he wasn't well last night but if true about his ongoing groin injury, it would explain a lot about his recent performances.

TomB

1.) 20 Dec 2023 10:13:47
And also Tom, we have yet another injury to add to our long list.

2.) 21 Dec 2023 09:09:10
Yes have read these reports and would ecxplain both his drop in form and why the poor lad was in tears when came off on Tuesday night. So if true it's - and I also don't know what the prognosis would be if it is - this is wretched news for the player and for CFC. The club's injury woes are truly dreadful.

Does antone have any update on when Lavia might be expected to make his debut or CC likely to be back from his long injury?

3.) 21 Dec 2023 15:09:40
JBS, the same guy who told me about Nkunku coming back slightly earlier than expected told me Lavia will be fit to play early January. So about two weeks.

4.) 21 Dec 2023 18:14:56
Thanks Tom might be good news then about Lavia.

We will have to wait and see about Enzo but most treatments of his kind of injury if reported accurately take time with or without surgery. Would be months rather than weeks it seems.

A West Ham supporting mate tells me they are looking to loan Lukaku.

Would be interesting if true!

TomB

1.) 23 Aug 2023 03:30:13
I'd call it desperation not interesting.

2.) 23 Aug 2023 07:20:23
RD, I told him he was a very misunderstood player with lots of talent.

I like the bloke and I didn’t want to burst his balloon. Anyway, I can’t see it happening.

3.) 23 Aug 2023 10:43:22
The club's stance is there will be no loan deals for Lukaku.

If unsold when the window closes, they are looking to Saudi's to strike a deal.

4.) 23 Aug 2023 11:04:23
Bill, I understood it to be their “preferred” route and while I personally can’t see a loan happening, we surely can never say “never”?

Little whisper for Bradley Barcola, whoever he is?

I'm sure I've seen his name mentioned before, probably on this site.

TomB

{Ed002's Note - Bradley Barcola (F/W) Having a very good season but should stay where he is as a move may see him pushed on to the bench. Has seen scouts from numerous Premier League and Bundesliga clubs to watch him but taking him now to play in England would likely mean he would need to be loaned out out for a couple of years before he could obtain a Work Permit unless someone pays well over the odds. Manchester City and Chelsea may offer him an option. PSG would take him as cover only. Riems may offer an option.}

1.) 21 Aug 2023 21:22:54
Thanks for the info Ed.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

I sent a post earlier that stated I had sent an email to the CST. I have since checked and I sent my email to a director of the Fans Forum not CST.

A few weeks ago I mentioned on this site about an email I had sent to the CST directors.

I have a habit of being pro active about complaints to various bodies within our society. I think it's a sickness.

Anyway my email to the CST was long and focused on a lack of communication from the board to our supporters since they took over the club. I shouldn't have had to send that email because the promise made by the owners was "a guarantee of transparency and communication. " Sadly, in my opinion our board has been found wanting in this particular area.

Obviously I wasn't the only supporter who communicated with the supporters trust because they have just issued what appears to be an open letter to the CFC board expressing several concerns. I share virtually every one of those concerns.

As supporters we do have a voice. So please express any concerns you have through the channels provided. To be fair these channels were set up by our clubs board. So on that score they are to be applauded.

TomB

1.) 20 Mar 2024 20:09:09
Give them a break .

2.) 20 Mar 2024 21:24:04
I’m not sure why putting up concourse prices beyond a normal family’s ability to afford doesn’t warrant criticism.

When we are told that all of the “partners” in the club including the CPO, CST, FAB and season ticket holders will be part of all discussions and kept informed and that doesn’t happen, I think it warrants criticism.

I will always be critical of the club’s continued decision to have away supporters in the Shed.

Strangely I have no problem with season tickets going up in price but selfishly I want concessions to remain.

I cannot see the point in moaning about things that bug you if you’re not prepared to be pro active in your moaning. Venting my anger at a key pad isn’t enough for me.

3.) 20 Mar 2024 21:43:25
I am sorry but I should have added for balance that I have sent the club more than one email praising them for several things I think they have done well. That includes investment in players and improved stadium Wi-Fi.

20 Mar 2024 15:28:10
It must be an international break. More so called experts on Talksport and in the current bun giving us the benefit of there financial wisdom. "We are doomed. "

If we are ever found guilty of breaching FFP or PSR rules let's not bleat about. If we are guilty we deserve to be punished.

TomB

1.) 20 Mar 2024 17:26:59
Apart from the historical investigation, I don’t believe we are in breach of PSR rules but if we are found to be I will bleat about it and blame the owners.

2.) 20 Mar 2024 18:33:39
I will moan about whoever is responsible but my point is I will not bleat about the punishment.

3.) 20 Mar 2024 20:07:20
I'm with you Jimbo, I don't think we have broken FFP or PSR rules but if we have I shall bleat like mad and blame the owners, be it Roman if historical or BlueCo if current!

4.) 21 Mar 2024 08:31:47
Tom, I misunderstood your point, I agree there is no point in moaning about a sanction if you have broken the rules but I will be angry that we got ourselves in that position.

Matt, Haaland isn’t very good in the air. Actually do any of the team in the top five teams play with the sort of CF you describe?

I’m not even sure how many top clubs in any top league play with that type of CF anymore!

This may come as a shock but for all players get wages.

The players we have signed are to replace the players we have ever sold or whose contract was up. Those replacements probably give the club a lower wage bill and a better chance of complying with PSR going forward.

One would think injuries are a new occurrence. Less we forget James, Chilly, Pusilic and many more. The club do not sign players because they want them injured fgs.

We have Maatsen if we want to go down that path.

My guess is they will stick with Cucarella and Chilly then sell Maatsen. ’.

Cech, of course my understanding or lack of understanding FFP is redundant hence the reason I ask for clarification on how accurate the comments are on the subject. As far as I’m concerned that is one of the selling points of the site.

Surely posting we are are likely to be in breach of any rules needs some explanation.

You and others may well find my “constant disregard” of other people’s concerns about FFP or PSR “infuriating” but I can see no problem in asking the reasons for a such concerns. I find it equally infuriating when fans use the term without any supporting argument.

At some stage it may well happen that we are in breach of some rule or other and if that is the case we will deserve to be punished.

I fully understand fans having concerns about our club’s finances. That’s fine as far as I’m concerned but surely I’m allowed to ask the question why those concerns exist or express my ambivalence.

My health isn’t to bad at the moment thanks Cech. I go back into hospital mid April but hopefully just for an MOT. Stay safe mate.

All players have to pass a rigorous medical. All players are paid if they are injured, playing rubbish or playing brilliantly.

The owners, managers, medical team, recruitment team and most fans don’t have the benefit or luxury of hindsight when players are signed.
