Ed002's latest update regarding rice puts us as 'Chelsea lost out on their preferred target last summer and the club is supportive of looking again to have Declan Rice return to Stamford Bridge, something that I understand will be acceptable to the player, but I also understand Chelsea have preferred options'

In our hands if we want to act. Not sure why we would prefer unproven commodities like Caicedo and Kone when a prem and internationally proven star is available and would be happy to join us. I'm not going to let this one go if it doesny happen lol.

You can't really say caicedo is unproven in prem
I would much prefer him over rice.

That’s been Eds update on Rice for a while Standard, if we’ve got preferred targets I’d imagine we will go for those rather than spend £100m on Rice, even though I personally think Rice is the best of the bunch.

Reading what Ed is saying we missed out on our target last summer which I think was caiceido

And if we missed out on him this year then we might then go for rice
But caicedo is our main dm target which I'm happy about.

I beg to disagree that rice is best of them. standard I will like to confirm if you are still the same standard I use to enjoy his posts or Tom b new pseudo account. Your biases about rice is top notch. Please how good is rice because I don't really understand what exactly he brings that we don't already have . It's bizarre to think that if rice is signed then the club will suddenly deem it right to offer Mount contract that they initially thought wasn't right just because he's a close to rice. Both of the other international players for their respective countries. Note that playing for English national team doesn't automatically make him good enough to play for Chelsea.
I would rather get caicedo for less than pay such extortionate fees for rice. Having epl experience doesn't really mean the players would fit into the club's life. Drinkwater I guess was seen in the same way especially winning the title with
Leicester.

I love declan rice and think he brings a lot more than just a top quality composed CDM. Experience, leadership and drive. A no brainer for me.
