Hi Ed, I promise I won't annoy you over transfer targets but I'm just going to ask you one question please tell the club have a plan for the summer, this club needs proper structure and the board seems to make it up as they go along for the last number of years.

{Ed002's Note - Of course the club has a plan. I guess from the last sentence you really have no idea how the club works, but the "board" (I have no idea who you are referring to) do not make anything up.}

Dub. really not sure how you can think that the Chelsea board has no strategy? The main issue is that we’ve seen so many different managers who play different styles and need different players to meet that style hence the need for so many changes.

20 Apr 2019 20:41:32
Our last good transfer window was when Jose asked for Fab Luis and Costa and got them and we win the league. We have wasted so much money the past number of years on average players and that's on the board. Anyone who disagree with me on this then there is something seriously wrong.

Agree1 0Disagree

21 Apr 2019 09:23:15
You are right though the board do have a strategy and it's all about money they don't care about players who suit the system, this has been going on for years.

{Ed002's Note - You have no idea at all.}

Ed, before they aggravate you too much can I just say happy easter!

Just re the club and their plan, I'm guessing it's probably not worked out as well as they'd have hoped the last 24 months and they will have a view on adjustments required to push toward the top end of the domestic and European standings?

Ed 002
A few questions which I would appreciate your thoughts on.

1.Do you expect Sarri to be the manager next season.
2.Do you think Roman will sell the club this year?
Many thanks.

{Ed002's Note - The opinion here is I know nothing, get everything I have ever said from Twitter and cause all of the problems with the vegetables. There is zero point in me saying anything.}

ed please don't stop answering here, you are appreciated by many here and your info is helping us a lot and we thankyou for everything, hope idiots don't ruin it for the ones who enjoy and want to hear what you have to say and info you give 👏.

Sorry that people think this way Ed, can say for the majority of the users here we really appreciate your efforts and input into the page, frustrating some people keep trying to ruin it for everyone else again. Would be shame to lose you mate but if i had to keep deleting posts everyday i'd lose interest as well.

The Chelsea page misses out once again. Final post for a bit.

Agree1 0Disagree

18 Apr 2019 08:18:49
Yup we're missing out. Shame, as on the United page you can see another great overview of their targets and players looking to leave etc.

But it is what it is. We'll have to wait for stuff to actually happen to know what's going on. Either that or we can believe idiots like Duncan Castles etc But I'd rather not know than believe journalists like him.

Shame, Ed. But hope you're doing well :)

18 Apr 2019 13:23:51
Well whose doing it then? Surely it’s not the regular posters on this page is it?

Agree0 0Disagree

18 Apr 2019 14:54:57
Doesn't make a difference if it's regulars or not. The fact the MODs have to read it, is enough.

If it was me, I'd be doing the same, keeping the info to myself to save from having to read crap.

I’ve been thinking, what do you think has been the reason for our decline over the last few years? We are just so inconsistent and have been since Mourinho’s final season, outside of the year we won the league (and even that adds to the inconsistency!) what is up?

Believable0 0Unbelievable

16 Apr 2019 23:01:24
Don't think it's just one reason, for me it's a mix of a number of reasons. Haven't replaced star players that have left throughout the years, haven't given managers enough time, disappointing transfer windows, managers causing issues within the team, players we've bought not living up to expectations, losing our future star players due to not suiting current systems. Personally i'd say the recruitment over the years has been our biggest issue, we've had numerous windows where we've wasted money on players that weren't needed, rarely strengthened after a successful season and just bought players for big money that never worked out.

Agree1 0Disagree

16 Apr 2019 23:16:32
Has to be a mentality thing. We lost our big characters, then lost other good fighters like Zouma. Conte did well for one season, but the players lost interest.

This is why it is so important we integrate CHO, RLC, Christensen, Ampadu, and James. They will see the club as something a lot bigger and personal than the likes of Jorginho, Kovacic, Higuain, Alonso.

The above is key. However, there is a problem at board level too. Really, we should have stuck to our guns and remained defense and counter attack orientated.

Agree2 0Disagree

16 Apr 2019 23:27:32
We have been more keen on quantity over quality unfortunately. A striker is a big miss for us. With a striker we are automatically title contenders.

Agree0 0Disagree

17 Apr 2019 00:43:22
Recruitment, signing back up average players rather than players who are going to push the starters for a spot, not backing world class managers and lastly luck. We’ve had a few big name signings not work out and that happens.

Would love ed001’s opinion and also Ed002.

{Ed001's Note - changing managers who need different players to suit their style but not keeping them long enough to build a squad suited to that style has not helped. You have a mish-mash squad left over, as none of them have been able to last long enough to get the team sorted out properly.}

Agree2 0Disagree

17 Apr 2019 10:04:56
Agree with Ed. A director of football would help s but, better scouting / signings, less change in managers, lack of a goal scorer up front. We saw the difference costa made scoring goals regularly. Hopefully things improve, transfer ban gets lifted and we can have a overhaul, tidy the books and get some these young loanees into the squad ( not starting 11 )

Agree1 0Disagree

17 Apr 2019 10:15:13
The thing is, a lot of us are thinking this, and have been for a few seasons now I’d wager, so how come no one at the club seems to be able to see it?

Hey ed001 do you know if the interest in Willian is legitiment? Reports are suggesting Barcalona are going to come back for Willian again this summer and if the offer is anywhere near 50 million I would definitely cash in.

I really like Willian but his productivity in numbers is poor, and he was childish with Conte. I’d cash in regardless of whether we lose hazard or not. An offer around 50 million is too good to turn down.

{Ed001's Note - Barca have been interesting in him for a long time. Their scouting has been abysmal in recent years though.}

Believable0 0Unbelievable

14 Apr 2019 08:29:29
What are you talking about ed001? Boateng and Paulinho have been excellent pick ups! ;)

{Ed001's Note - I am sorry what was I thinking of! Of course they are. And spending all that money on Dembele, Malcom and Coutinho is working out just as brilliantly for them.}

Agree0 0Disagree

14 Apr 2019 12:58:12
They’ve signed Arthur and Dembele and agreed a fee for De Jong. De Light will probably be heading there too. How on earth is there scouting system abysmal? 😂.

Agree2 0Disagree

14 Apr 2019 14:01:13
Blue dragon, they literally bought in Paulinho and Boateng?

Also, I could scout out De Ligt and de Jong, that’s hardly good scouting. Bringing in awful players like Paulinho, Boateng and more has been maybe not abysmal; but pretty damn shocking.

14 Apr 2019 14:25:17
I think I am with Ed001 on this one. Barcelona has a way of playing and not necessarily every excellent player fits into their game; tbh a lot of the players that they have signed in the past few years didn't fit or suit their game.
Most of their big money signings in recent years haven't worked out well eg. Dembele and Coutinho are struggling to play the Barcelona game and won't fit in in my opinion; Andre Gomes didn't work out; Umtiti seems like he's not rated anymore at the club; there's this striker that's now at Borussia Dortmund that Barcelona bought from Valencia (can't remember his name) didn't also do well at the club; Vidal who replaced Paulinho is just there (nothing spectacular) ; we are yet to see De jong and probably De ligt; Authur suits them well though.

{Ed002's Note - They are no differenbt from any other side in respect of some players not working out.}

Ed002, on another page you’ve mentioned that Pulisic isn’t a direct replacement for Hazard. Would Hudson-Odoi be Hazards replacement as and when he leaves? Hope you’re well.

Cheers

Adam.

{Ed002's Note - Right, they play in different positions. Chelsea are planning for Hudson-Odoi to be one of the wingers for next season.}

Still need another quality option Willian and Pedro are not good enough and declining more all the time. If we can't get Pepe maybe Leon Bailey or Chiesa or someone else young, fast and direct. Id sell Willian if we can get a good sum and use Pedro as 4th choice.

11 Apr 2019 10:32:32
Sweet. Thanks Ed002. We’ve the chance of having a good backbone to the team again in Kepa, Christensen, Loftus, Cheek and Hudson Odoi.

I also seem to recall you saying that Chelsea had higher hopes for Ugbo rather then Abraham. Is that still the case as he seems to have gone quiet on his front.

Thanks in advance.

{Ed002's Note - Someone else has come through instead. I don't expect Abraham to stay and an offer will be made for him.}

I still think we should give Tammy a real shot with our first team. He's got a nose for goals that you can't teach.

Strong, fast, intelligent movement, pretty good touch and good passing. He's got it all. It'd be a real shame if we sell him without at least trying him out.

Redan is apparently really good, but I can't see him being given a shot, and as BlueDragon alluded to he'll probably look to leave as well : (.

Agree0 0Disagree

11 Apr 2019 13:31:14
Just shows how we all see players differently. I think Redan is average. The best youngster I’ve seen in kids football this year is lad from from Utd. I think his name was Greenwood.

Ed imo with a lot of our youngsters and loanees we should sell with a buyback clause like with Boga, will we be seeing more of these deals? Say for Abraham and others?

{Ed002's Note - Forget any clauses. It is not a "buyback" clause with Boga or any others - it is not how it works.}

11 Apr 2019 21:11:46
I will be very happy next year if we have Da Silva James redan all around the first team squad is there any other youngsters we’re looking to integrate if you don’t mind answering please Ed002.

Cheeky one i know, but ed on liverpool page are we the other epl club whos interested but want a different Am targets? If so can i ask what Ams? Understand if you don't want to thanks.

{Ed002's Note - AM would be attaking midfield - I have no idea which post you are referring to

Agree0 0Disagree

05 Apr 2019 17:21:13
Ed002's Note - Bruno Fernandes (AM) has been of interest to Everton, Manchester United, Milan and Liverpool who have all looked at him on two or more occasions. Spurs maintain an interest but only if Christian Eriksen leaves. I am not aware of any interest at all from Inter. Asking price has more than doubled from what was already a high price in recent months and that has pushed aside interest from Juventus who don't see the value, Valencia and CSKA - and like priced him out of a move to all but a couple of the interested sides. Whilst Bayern Munich and another EPL side have looked as well, neither have a declared interest that I know of and both have other AM targets. Manchester United remain very keen and Milan have a creative solution in mind and it is certainly not out of the question that he will move to one of those sides this summer. }

This one.

{Ed002's Note - I have already explained about BF to a previous question.}

Ed reports in brazil saying Chelsea rep was watching atletico paraenese match watching bruno guimaeres and want to sign him any truth and do we have any interest thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Bruno Guimaraes (DM/CM) - Shakhtar Donetsk have been in discussions with the representative of the player (who they have a close relationship to) and Athletico Paranaense but the asking price is proving to be a major stumbling block. Napoli, Chelsea, Marseille (as a Gustavo replacement) and Kashima Antlers (who are competely out of the picture.}

Half of the last Brazilian generation are over-rated. 3 of them played for us in Willian, Oscar and Luiz. Hulk and Douglas Costa were good players but not world class. Neymar, Thiago Silva, Dani Alves and Marcelo are the only ones world class for me.
