I can't keep up with all the transfer rumours associated with Chelsea but was out with and mat yesterday who told me Liverpool and Chelsea are chasing a young Swiss CH. He did tell me the name but I can't remember it and I've now got a massive hangover. All sounds very familiar with Chelsea missing out to Liverpool for a young, talented CH.

28 Mar 2026 15:53:29
That's exactly what we need, Tom, another youngster at the back.

Probably finish up at Strasbourg for a couple of seasons anyway.

28 Mar 2026 18:05:34
Always look on the bright side of life.

28 Mar 2026 19:18:01
I can feel a song coming on.

28 Mar 2026 21:37:57
Bill, agree, that's the last thing we need: another trading card. We have two very good young CBs, Josh and Levi; what we really need is two experienced CBs.

29 Mar 2026 08:42:53
I think Sarr looks useful. He is just finding his Premiership feet. It happens.

I love transfer rumours but very rarely the reality. I do remember being told by my mate that it isn't just us and Liverpool looking at the young Swiss CH. There are lots of other interested teams.

29 Mar 2026 15:04:58
We have plenty of young centre backs. Let Liverpool have the Swiss big cheese, and we can have VVD.

29 Mar 2026 15:16:43
I can only say that the few times I've watched Liverpool this season VVD hasn't impressed me!!
They have already signed a young CH for next season, and I was gutted he decided to go there instead of coming to us.

{Ed001's Note - Liverpool signed 4 this season, 1 in the summer and 3 in January.}

29 Mar 2026 15:59:26
I was only gutted about the one in January Ed. He looks useful.

{Ed001's Note - Leoni looks brilliant, shame about his ACL. But you are talking about Jacquet.}

29 Mar 2026 16:17:19
Yep, that's the lad. I am useless with names, amongst other things!!

27 Mar 2026 17:27:22
A few twatter rumours that Man City are to be docked 60 points. Any truth in this ED01?

{Ed001's Note - I don't know sorry. It doesn't sound likely though unfortunately.}

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Mar 2026 09:56:33
Probably 6 points Greenaway suspend for 50 years

16 Apr 2026 10:37:56
Suspended on condition that City hand a large brown envelope to certain footballing top dogs?!

21 Mar 2026 19:26:21
Id hate to ask Ed but do you think rosenior has lost the dressing room already, squad looks totally lost and un interested its insane i don't blame rosenior he had to take a punt at such a big job and seems like a good guy but he looks so far out of his debt and every player in the squad has regressed.

{Ed001's Note - as far as I am aware he hasn't, he is just out of his depth by the looks of it.}

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2026 21:01:50
Thank you, Scary. To see how far out of his debt he looks already. God knows if any manager out there would actually improve this current side the way things have dropped off.

25 Mar 2026 09:54:45
If he has lost the dressing room, is it possible to give him a sat nav to help him find it?

21 Mar 2026 06:56:10
A few rumours today that Blue. co are now looking to link up with River Plate in Argentina. I think Kendry Paez is on loan there at present. Would be a good club to have on the books. Also reading that Delap is wanted by Newcastle for £45 million, I believe we paid £30 million so that would be a tidy profit.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Mar 2026 09:32:13
Rpd, I am actually beginning to think Delap is a good player. Over the last few games, albeit for cameo appearances, he looks to have improved his first touch and gained a yard of pace.

21 Mar 2026 10:41:45
Tom

If we make a profit, he will be sold, then move on to a greater career.

21 Mar 2026 11:11:07
Really hope we don't sell Delap. He has something about him and can see him going on to great things.

21 Mar 2026 22:25:06
Let's hope Delap gets more game time in the games left to show us he is improving after injury.

Think LR could and should have started him today v Everton, v physical defenders, plus JP probably knackered.

19 Mar 2026 10:44:05
Strong rumours of Valentin Barco joining us in the summer, a marauding left back apparently? Anyone seen him play?

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Mar 2026 13:20:11
Greenaway

We already have Cucurella and Hato on that position.

19 Mar 2026 15:50:06
He has been mainly playing CM for Strasbourg, and can play LB, CM, LW. He'd be a good addition to the squad, very progressive in his play.

19 Mar 2026 23:48:32
I think he'd only come in if we see either Lavia or Essugo leave imo. Maybe if EF leaves, but I just don't see PSG or Real paying the amount for EF that we'd want.

20 Mar 2026 07:54:30
Thanks, J, interesting that he can play in a few different positions, might be a shrewd signing.

20 Mar 2026 08:12:54
My view is that, although he is a good player, we don't need any more square pegs in round holes.

20 Mar 2026 17:05:02
Maybe I'm old-fashioned but I prefer players who are top class in one position: utility players are for the subs bench.

21 Mar 2026 08:12:37
Agreed, Jimbo, let's get people who excel in their positions.

21 Mar 2026 09:34:21
A bit like James Milner is how I see him, and he was, and still is no mug!!
I think Carlo once said he would be his No1 Premiership signing. That is a big compliment.

21 Mar 2026 14:00:41
Milner is a model professional but the saying: "Jack of all trades, master of none" comes to mind.

21 Mar 2026 14:47:17
So does "there are none so blind who will not see."

16 Mar 2026 13:26:49
I believe that we have been hit with a £10mil fine, a first team transfer ban suspended for two years and a nine month transfer ban for academy players.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Mar 2026 15:04:45
Bill, as expected.

Well done the current owners for self reporting and cooperating fully with the regulatory body.

I may be wrong, but I think we still have an FA investigation pending?

16 Mar 2026 16:01:04
Absolutely Tom, the owners were correct in self reporting, but u do wonder if the league would have ever picked it up.

16 Mar 2026 16:21:28
Bill, if RA remained our owner, it's hard to imagine him reporting himself.

Strangely, and as I don't like cheats, I'm almost happy we have self reported.

16 Mar 2026 17:10:31
Tom,
We still have the 74 charges laid by the FA.
The PL written reasons make reference to the FA charges, and, whilst it doesn't state outright, it suggests that the PL has ruled on basically the same issues.

Hopefully, the FA IC will be concluded pretty soon, and my guess is that the FA commission was waiting till the PL matter was concluded, as there surely has to be a consideration re double jeopardy.

16 Mar 2026 17:15:50
Terras, thanks for that information, it's much appreciated.

I haven't got a clue, but my guess is our misdeeds could have affected all competitions under different regulatory bodies, so, therefore, we can be punished again for the same offences.

16 Mar 2026 21:51:22
Tom, I think you are right: the charges, although the same, cross two jurisdictions. Double jeopardy was a doctrine in criminal law, which has been abolished and probably wouldn't be applicable in administrative proceedings.

Although, I imagine the PL sanctions will be taken into account. Let's hope the FA don't want to flex their muscles in competition with the Premier League.
My guess is a fine and exclusion from the FA Cup for next season.

16 Mar 2026 23:03:14
I would be surprised they would exclude the holders.

17 Mar 2026 07:46:08
They might, Tom, if City get their punishment.

17 Mar 2026 14:29:15
Agree with you, Tom - happy we self-reported. Amazing the time it's taken them to get this done and dusted, whilst the case against City remains in limbo. Guess that's the difference between cooperating versus hiring a team of crack lawyers to fight literally every single step.

06 Mar 2026 15:59:48
Anselmino's situation is odd. Obviously agree with him being recalled from Dortmund, however, he's only played 2 mins for Strasbourg (2 sub appearances) and wasn't in their squad last time out.

Seems a fairly stupid loan at this point for a player that was looking good and getting settled at Dortmund.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Mar 2026 18:23:14
Melbourne, I believe he picked up an injury.

07 Mar 2026 01:28:24
Thanks, Bill! I hadn't seen that. Hopefully, he can recover quickly.

26 Feb 2026 11:55:17
Chelsea are interested in signing Bayern's Director of Women's Football, Bianca Rech as a replacement for Paul Green. I thought I would post this as there were some who thought the mens sporting directors were getting involved in the womens team. The two are seperate entities.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Feb 2026 13:14:06
Thank you for the update, RPD.

26 Feb 2026 13:54:22
You are very welcome, Bill.

28 Feb 2026 10:27:14
RPD, your memory serves you well, yes, it did. It was used as another reason to bash the SDs/owners.

01 Mar 2026 12:22:02
Tom It was reported in the media that the SDs became involved. Maybe they were there to hire a new appointment.

01 Mar 2026 19:49:36
Totally correct, Tom. Some on here get off on putting all things Chelsea down.

01 Mar 2026 20:22:49
Bill, maybe they were asked to get involved to find a replacement after the guy resigned. If a guy leaves for whatever reason, it isn't always a reason, as some do, to bash the SDs or owners. I personally haven't got a clue why the guy decided to leave. As far as I'm concerned, good luck to the bloke. We now move on!!

05 Mar 2026 09:51:42
Interesting info, RPD, thanks for it.

17 Feb 2026 21:41:11
Could this be true? Chelsea get heavy fine and transfer ban suspended for two widows. This is the judgment for our 74 offences while under the RA ownership.

A mate tells me that is the rumour he has heard. If it is true, I think the club should except the punishment and move on.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Feb 2026 08:09:26
Best to wait and see Tom, there were lots of rumours about a FOS that never materialised.

18 Feb 2026 15:55:18
I have big doubts about it being true. Another mate told me he heard we have got a 15pt penalty, a fine and transfer ban.

18 Feb 2026 18:26:15
Tom, being reported by The Daily Mail that supporters can anticipate NON-SPORTING sanctions as an outcome.

That would mean a FINE rather than, say, a transfer ban or points deduction.

18 Feb 2026 20:19:18
Maybe mate (a) was correct.

I personally think it would be harsh on our present owners, they appear to have acted correctly.

19 Feb 2026 09:49:04
Thecdaily mail said it is the owners views that we will get a fine and transfer ban, not actual info.

09 Feb 2026 17:40:42
Reports from ESPN Argentina suggesting that Chelsea is leading the race for Julian Alvarez. I would think he would be a great addition but not sure what others think? Could be great in combo with EF if EF stays -- and to be challengers for EPL surely we need him to?

Point though is that at 26 he may be seen as far too old by BlueCo plus on roughly same wages as Reece,

Would probably mean Jackson sold and Guiu or/and Delap sold or loaned?

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Feb 2026 21:39:07
Dont think we’d pay the fee or the wages for him tbh and he's 10 years too old for BlueCo-
i would love him at the club tho think he's top class.

10 Feb 2026 00:55:49
Tris’ memory may be better on this but didn’t Alvarez say himself that he was hesitant on a return to England last year when Liverpool was reportedly interested? I was of the impression he didn’t settle very well when with Citeh.

Top class player so would be an awesome addition if he has warmed to the idea. Maybe the capital would be a better fit.

{Ed001's Note - it is his gf, she hated the weather and wanted to leave.}

10 Feb 2026 07:34:19
I honestly can’t remember seeing him play.

I can’t see us doing much business in the forward area in the summer, with the lad coming from Strasbourg. Anyway signing at centre half will probably depend on how Sarr and the lad now at Strasbourg do for the remainder of the season. I can see at least two CH’s being sold.

If they can get Lavia fit then I can only see us signing a midfielder if one of our current squad leaves.

10 Feb 2026 09:57:11
Tom

We can always get Kavia fit. The problem is he plays one game and then disappears for 6 months.

I agree some if the CH's need replacing but we also need to see how Colwill comes back first.

Like you, I think Guiu will leave which in my opinion will be a shame.

10 Feb 2026 12:07:45
Bill, I haven’t said that Guiu will leave but my guess is he will go on loan, maybe to Strasbourg.

10 Feb 2026 13:14:01
Tom

He might decide that he wants a permanent move to another club rather than a loan.

10 Feb 2026 14:29:47
Maybe Bill.

10 Feb 2026 17:04:43
Looking out of my window at the moment I can see where Alvarez' s girlfroend is coming from in terms of the weather! But London a bit better in this respect than the N/W of England perhaps.

10 Feb 2026 21:57:50
I'm in the north west of england and i really don't understand the weather thing. I got more rainfall a year in Brisbane Australia. Plus when it rained in aus, it actually rained. Here I can walk to work in the 'rain' and ill be dry. Makes no sense to me lol.

11 Feb 2026 16:33:21
Perhaps just a wee bit warmer in Brisbane even in heavy rain than in the N/W of England in light drizzle at this time of year Standard?! . Lol.

11 Feb 2026 17:02:28
Too hot, atleast for me JBS :)

12 Feb 2026 22:21:16
Statistically there is more rainfall in Paris than London; so that rules out a move to PSG for Alveraz. If I was him I would buy the girlfriend an umbrella and a raincoat and tell her to get a job.
