So it appears Enzo Fernandez was putting in transfer requests. how on earth can any fan justify him being sold? it is EXACTLY the same as Enzo Maresca who quite rightly gets pelters from us fans.
1.) 12 Sep 2026 14:49:09
tbf greeny, you were all for Maresca before the truth came out... and on Enzo F, not seen many complaining he was sold... The lack of replacement, however, is a fair complaint.
2.) 13 Sep 2026 17:54:31
BlueKaz98, Kazblue1, how many more names do you have?
3.) 13 Sep 2026 20:57:30
You've missed just simply BlueKaz from the days before logins were even a thing, and we just signed off our names on posts to identify ourselves.... Keep up, Greeny.
4.) 13 Sep 2026 22:34:49
Kaz, the whole site knows your real name is King Frank. Try posting as yourself.
5.) 13 Sep 2026 21:39:13
As long as we try to show respect and the post passes the Ed's scrutiny, who cares what name or names people choose to use.
6.) 14 Sep 2026 15:20:00
King Frank, that's a good one, Greeny - better than your usual tantrum posts.
7.) 14 Sep 2026 18:09:44
If you say so, Frank, AKA various blends of Kaz.

Todd B is on the brink of a Chelsea exit after agreeing to sell his shares.
The American and colleagues Mark Walter and Hansjorg Wyss are set to flog their 38.5 per cent share in the club to Clearlake Capital for a small profit.
Good news?
1.) 11 Sep 2026 15:55:01
I hope Clearlake turn out to be good owners. It will be interesting to see what the share sale values the club at.
12 Aug 2026 22:02:21
Deadline set for EF to move, £120 million delivered by 5pm on Friday or forget it. These owners are brutal in business and a welcome relief to the Roman days where we would pamper players and oppo clubs. Nice to see some fight in them.
1.) 13 Aug 2026 02:30:17
Couldn't disagree more about your assessment for our time under Roman. These owners aren't fit to tie his laces. One semi decent window where they haven't messed up everything they've touched does nothing to change that.
2.) 13 Aug 2026 06:51:11
Roman brought a level of success to our club that I personally never believed possible. For me, he will always be a club legend.
Like a lot of wealthy people, he was no saint, and, depending on who you believe, a possible ruthless Russian crook.
Did he make mistakes while he was owner of Chelsea? Yes.
Do I care as much as I should? Probably not.
I guess it proves I am just a shallow, fickle, biased football fan.
3.) 13 Aug 2026 07:36:26
Or K, why don't the owners just come out and say, EflF is an important player for us and is not for sale.
4.) 13 Aug 2026 07:57:48
Melbourne, just to add clarity to the post I made, my point is the new owners won't be messed about like what we had to put up with before, where players were bought for vast sums, then decided they didn't like it and went on endless loans, mainly on the cheap and mainly to Italy.
5.) 13 Aug 2026 07:59:36
Bill, I know it's usual for everyone to bash the owners and SDs, and sometimes that is justified, but in this case EF said he wanted to leave. Ok, if he wants to leave, that's fine, but at a price of the club's choosing.
I like EF as a player, but as far as I know he has not come out and apologised to the fans for making his preference clear with 10/12 games left in a season and while vice captain.
If he wants to go, then fine, goodbye. If he wants to stay, he needs to start mending bridges.
6.) 13 Aug 2026 08:46:22
He can start by mending Stamford Bridge, Tom. It needs an update.
7.) 13 Aug 2026 10:07:30
EbW, Roman and our current owners have apparently looked and continue to look at all the SB options. I can't see anything happening in my lifetime.
8.) 13 Aug 2026 10:24:16
Are they Tom?
9.) 13 Aug 2026 10:33:18
Bill, you were part of the thread that had surprising input from the CFC president. To be fair he outlined the clubs position on this site in detail. With all due respect to the site I wish they would communicate/update their own platform on this issue or at least let the FAB discuss the situation at its board meetings.
I have made my views well known, if anything happens think it will just be an expansion of the current SB site but I genuinely believe these owners will be long gone before anything of consequence materialises.
10.) 13 Aug 2026 13:23:21
Tom
I think lip service springs to mind. He did not hang around for questions; I wonder why.
11.) 13 Aug 2026 13:56:03
Bill, maybe it wasn't him. Anyway, he was hardly going to elaborate or deviate from the club's position.

We really should get JT in as defensive coach.
Have you all heard his review of the Hull game on YouTube? It could easily have been him speaking to the players at the training ground.
It just seems such an obvious thing to do and will not only help Alonso and the players but also get the lad back on the team where he belongs.
1.) 16 Sep 2026 09:55:21
K, I have no idea if JT is a good coach in any capacity. As far as I know, other than helping out with our youth team, he hasn't had a coaching job since Villa.
2.) 16 Sep 2026 17:10:13
might be too many foreign lads in the squad for current day JT.
3.) 16 Sep 2026 19:10:14
Came across as a nice bloke whenever I met him. He was very generous to our charity auction requests.
12 Sep 2026 22:10:03
I was one of a few who said bring Jose back. I stick by it. Only other option is JT, the legend would shore up the defence and that front 3 would nick points. Jose is going nowhere so let's bring the greatest ever player to wear a Chelsea shirt back to work with Alonso.
ED01, do you think JT could help us out with some defensive organisation?
{Ed001's Note - I have no idea. I haven't seen any teams coached by him.}
1.) 12 Sep 2026 23:15:05
Ed, snap mate.
Surely this is not a call to sack/replace Alonso?
Mind you, I do remember one poster wanting Maresca sacked after his first set of pre season matches.
I think we will see a different Chelsea when Caicedo is fit and I also believe Palestra will quickly become a fans favourite.
2.) 13 Sep 2026 08:25:35
It's far too early to get disillusioned. As Tom said, things should improve when Moises and Palestra are fit. However, we clearly need to sign a top class midfielder in January. Strange that Quenda is not getting any minutes.
3.) 13 Sep 2026 08:04:39
Thanks ED01 for the reply, Tom, I'm not calling for Alonso to be replaced but he needs help with organising that defence and JT could be the answer.
4.) 13 Sep 2026 12:13:42
K, I am pleased you are calling for Alonso to be sacked.
JT will always be a playing legend, and on the few times I have met him, I have found him to be a nice bloke, but I have to assume there is a reason he hasn't had a first-team coaching job since Villa several seasons ago.
5.) 13 Sep 2026 12:57:43
I'm certainly not calling for Alonso to be sacked, Tom, far from it. It is early days, but surely he needs help to organise that defence? We have some decent defenders at the club, but they look all over the shop. Put Reece James at rb, play Pep at lb, and start Lacroix and Josh/Levi at centre back.
Put in a midfield 3 to protect that back 4, and let that front 3 do their magic. Shut the shop up and nick a 1 nil until the injured players come back in.
4-3-3 sorts this out.
6.) 13 Sep 2026 15:28:12
K, I would certainly prefer 433.
I think Palestra will make a significant difference on the right side. I also think Caicedo with two others in midfield would make us far more solid.
7.) 13 Sep 2026 15:58:57
Keep JT far away from any coaching role at the club. No thanks. What's next, Joey Barton, to come in and coach discipline?
8.) 13 Sep 2026 17:39:22
JT and Lampard are great players for us, but both are crap coaches. They should enjoy their financial rewards and take up a hobby.
9.) 13 Sep 2026 18:45:18
I think we still need to bring in a really superb DM to support Caicedo... someone who loves to defend like a Makalele or John Obi Mikel, or Elliot Anderson, who was superb today for 115 charges not cooperated with Enzo snakes City.
10.) 14 Sep 2026 07:39:47
Lavia has been ok, but not yet up to the standard I expect of him yet. Barco, I think, will surprise people.
I'm not sure that any of them, including Caicedo, are Makalele type DM's.
02 Sep 2026 18:55:20
Nizaar Kinsella reporting that Chelsea spent £328m on improving the squad and made £519m worth of players sales (with loan fees) which is a global world record.
That's a net profit of £120m while retaining the sixth most valuable squad in the world.
The club hint at reinvestment in transfer windows to come having had a window that improves their financial picture whilst engineering a better squad for Xabi Alonso.
Many of the loan fees are undisclosed but known to be sizeable in some cases.
Quite astonishing figures and revolving doors and once again putting the "blown billions" theory in the proverbial bin.
Well done Blue. co.
1.) 02 Sep 2026 21:32:09
Unfortunately, Greeny, a couple of injuries and we'll have Jordan Henderson starting games of football.
2.) 02 Sep 2026 22:00:10
Very interesting Kaz that both you and our old friend Standard both call me Greeny? I think you have been found out but in all honesty it doesn't matter as it is just a name and all that counts is the wonderful banter on this page thanks to our ED's. Peace bro.
3.) 03 Sep 2026 11:31:28
K, do we know if the Maresca fee is included in the £519m.
It would appear we have now slipped to 6th in the nett spend table over the last ten years. I'm not sure if that is a good or bad thing. Even the spuds have a net spend figure bigger than ours over that period.
4.) 03 Sep 2026 18:08:20
Not sure, Tom, but either way, remarkable amounts of profit made, and it makes me laugh how some pundits, and indeed punters, like to use words like "blown billions" when, in fact, it is actually a case of turning a profit on many, if not most, of the purchases.
29 Aug 2026 21:17:29
This Enzo Fernandez stuff is annoying me for the fact that Maresca totally dropped us in it and cost us European football this season. He goes down as the worst manager in our history in my opinion and yet he is trying to take one of our best players.
As Tom and others have said, take City to the cleaners or make EF eat humble pie and wait for his Real Madrid move.
1.) 30 Aug 2026 10:28:51
Agreed, K.
28 Aug 2026 15:47:07.
David Datro Fofana is often used by those who like to knock our club as a tool to beat the owners. He certainly failed as a player, but Chelsea have accepted a £3m agreement for the player to join Swiss club Servette on a permanent deal.
This represents a loss on the initial £10m paid but once loan fees from Goztepe, Burnley and Union Berlin are factored in, it likely at least covers the £10m outlay paid to Molde.
For Chelsea, you win some and lose some but yet again, the risk verses reward highlights just how financially savvy our owners are.
1.) 28 Aug 2026 18:45:14
Okay, 10m +3m in wages, more in insurance, and all that jazz.
13m in the S&P500 would have gotten us 27.5m now, a 110% return.
I'd just like a good team, honestly, and I think this year we have it, green. I'm very optimistic about this year, and very pleased with the club's direction. I think they've not missed a hit this year.
2.) 28 Aug 2026 21:03:59
It could be another chapter in that book. ?
14 Sep 2026 18:09:44

26 Aug 2026 17:50:37
Kaz, you are always rude to posters who have a different view to you. Maybe it is a cultural thing, but try to be objective and nice.
25 Aug 2026 22:28:06
Tom, he has been Sold, mate. £50 MILLION. Kaz, what a great deal by our owners, quite incredible how they do these deals. I'm sure you are super pleased as a Chelsea fan that our owners can play the market like this.
19 Sep 2026 09:10:26
We have struggled ever since Maresca left and whilst that is now old news it is still painfall to take particuarly with the start he has made at City.
14 Sep 2026 20:57:43
That's a good question JBS, we so miss a JT, a hero for this club the way he put his body on the line. With what we currently have, I would say go a back 4 and keep it tight, with 2 holders, and bring in a 4th forward which gets Estevao on the pitch.
I would go something like this when all fit and ready.
Martinez
James
LaCroix
Levi
Palestra
Henderson
Caicedo
Estevao
Palmer
Rogers
Pedro.

12 Sep 2026 08:17:54
Club did right thing J, paid £105 million and sold for £125 million, adding to the huge profits generated on almost all signings.
I like Scott, but would prefer Lamine Camara.
