Hi Ed.
May I ask if there is any interest in Kepa or if the club considers keeping him?
In general I would greatly appreciate if you'd be willing to share information on the club's goalkeeping situation.

{Ed002's Note - Robert Sanchez (G) Do not be surprised to see him move on.
Kepa Arrizabalaga (G) Back to Chelsea to be sold and then perhaps Middle East. A wildcard could be Inter Milan if the price is right.
Teddy Sharman-Lowe (G) Really well liked but in dire need of a new agent. Chelsea will likely let him leave as a Free Agent in the summer. Down a couple of divisions or so and game time. Forest Green Rovers have been approached.
Marcus Bettinelli (G) Signed a new contract but may look to move on for regular game time. I expect him to stay.}

Thanks so much for the insight Ed002! Has there been interest expressed in Sanchez? Just seems odd considering that he’s been here for less than a year and has been injured for a decent proportion of it.

{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware.}

Hi Ed hearing reports we're in talks to sign Estaveo Willian (Messinho), is this true? Also would this be instead of the likes of Nico Williams, or is Estaveo seen as more for the future?

Also Kendry Paez looks like one hell of a player, him and Willian are 2 of the top young talents in the world by all accounts.

{Ed002's Note - Estevao Willian (RW/F) Another kiddie scouted by Manchester City and Arsenal. Chelsea have made a proposal to take him in 2025 when he turns 18. Real Madrid and Barcelona will likely do the same. Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund have sent scouts. PSG will offer the full buy out clause in a single payment but his agent wants Barcelona or Chelsea and the player prefers Barcelona but they have the emerging Lamine Yamal, so PSG and Barcelona may both step back.}

A question ed002 if I may. With future transfers like estevao, or even in the case of Paez, is the transfer recorded in accounts when it’s agreed or when they move clubs ie summer of 2025? Many thanks :)

{Ed002's Note - The money is accounted for when it is paid.}

07 May 2024 21:22:44
Hi Ed. Firstly thanks for the information you're still giving also on the Chelsea page.

Now regarding Estevao, you mention that the player's agent wants Barcelona or Chelsea (rather than PSG for example) . Do you know what is driving that preference? Is it money related (perhaps Chelsea is willing to pay more agent fees? ), or is it because of Chelsea having a good/ clear progression plan for the player? I would hope it's because of the latter, but money talks so could easily be the former too.

{Ed002's Note - I suspect the agent may be looking to the future, but i don't know.}

Ed002, I noticed you said previously the club and player would perhaps be open to reuniting Olise with his brother. Do you see the move as realistic this summer or is he more likely to head elsewhere?

{Ed002's Note - He will move elsewhere.}

Damn, that's a big shame. Probably United then, which will be a fantastic addition for them. On par with Saka and Sarah as the best attackers in the PL. He walks into damn near every starting XI in the world. Really wish we could've gotten him last summer.

07 May 2024 10:43:28
I'm sure if we had gotten him Palmer wouldn't be here today so I'll settle with what we have.

So according to Romano Chelsea are looking and considering Osimhen, Sesko and some more no. 9s. Probably Toney is one of the targets.

Believable0 0Unbelievable

07 May 2024 08:19:46
I think Toney will probably end up at Arsenal. I think we will get either Osimhen or Sesco and I live in hope it’s Osimhen.

Agree0 0Disagree

07 May 2024 12:55:43
I don't see us getting Osimhen PSG can pay much more.

Agree0 0Disagree

07 May 2024 13:55:52
I like the mobility of our current forwards and wouldn't want a more static striker like Osimhen quite apart from the cost and wages.
Also it wouldn't help the harmony of the group if a new player is signed on double the wages of the existing players.
If Nkunku injury is sorted I wouldn't make any big name striker signing.
And by the way our problem isn't scoring goals any longer.

Agree0 0Disagree

07 May 2024 14:59:02
Drog, I like your optimism but from the outside it looks like the club want a so called CF.

Agree0 0Disagree

07 May 2024 15:52:34
Totally agree with you KDrog.

Agree0 0Disagree

07 May 2024 17:27:01
If the CF is quick and mobile and not more than £50m and is happy with the wage structure maybe. Particularly if we still have doubts about Nkunku fitness.
But this might stop Jackson's development which would be a shame.
It interests me that City haven't looked a better unit since Haaland rocked up and started scoring goals for fun, so maybe a lesson to be learned from that.

Hi Ed

I was wondering if there is any interest in Lukaku, and in the club would consider keeping and using him next season? :)

{Ed002's Note - Romelu Lukaku (S) Wants to stay in Italy. Al-Hilal have spoken to Chelsea and would no doubt make a decent offer but the player won't be keen although Jeddah-based Al Ahli are far more attractive and are pushing for talks with Chelsea. Roma have spoken with his representative about turning the loan in to a permanent move but want an initial year on loan, but it will be complicated if there is serious interest from elsewhere - perhaps Fenerbahce or Napoli.}

Believable0 0Unbelievable

04 May 2024 08:48:09
There should be be no more loans or fee negotiations for Lukaku.

Whoever wants him pays the money we have put into his agreement and that's it no more messing about with Lukaku dictating what he wants and doesn't want.

Don't know why he came to us for a short holiday, he has never wanted to be at our club.

Ed002
It's being reported we are interested in Tosin Adarabioyo.
Is this true or just another rumour?
Many thanks.

{Ed002's Note - He is a Free Agent in the summer but likely heading elsewhere. Well down the list of CB options for Chelsea.}

It's being reported that we are keen to sign Hartman a leftback from Feynoord.
It also claims he is recovering from a serious knee injury.
Surely this isn't true?
Many thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Quilindschy Hartman (LWB) Turned down a move to Burnley after they failed to sign Ian Maatsen in 2023. Watched by scouts from Newcastle, West Ham and Chelsea, who have far preferred targets.}

Ed002
Which positions do you think the club will look to fill this coming transfer window?
My guess is Goalkeeper/ CB/ Striker.
Also unsubtantiated rumours that the age profile of the players incoming could be older this time.
Would you know if this is true because we sure do need a bit more experience in the squad.
Many thanks.

{Ed002's Note - They know a GK is needed, a CB and a S are required plus they are looking at players in other positions due to potential departures.}

Would you know if Ramsdale is of interest for the goalkeeping position?
Many thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Not for Chelsea.}

Agree0 0Disagree

30 Apr 2024 15:28:27
GK, CB and Striker I do find it strange the money we’ve spent and the true spine of the squad is lacking. Preferably a top class experienced centre back and a striker who is good in the air and different to Jackson. Sesko and Kim would be my choices. Not read of interest in Kim but he doesn’t seem to be playing much at Bayern and their fans rate him also. Goalkeeper I have no clue maybe Bento.

Would be great to see Guehi back at the club. His name has popped up a couple of times now. Him and Levi would make a great pairing.

Agree0 0Disagree

30 Apr 2024 19:51:40
I would take Guehi over some of the foreign players abroad as he knows the league and club and is very underrated. Proven premier league centre half who’s good on the ball.

Bare with me, but If rumours are true conte will be taking over at Napoli, a well know fan of lukaku, lukaku maybe not keen on Saudi, would / could we look to luakaku osimhen deal,

Osimhen does seem psg bound but seems an obvious deal that could suit everyone,

29 Apr 2024 16:43:20
I think he’s quality, but wouldn’t be against loaning him out next season to work on his fitness and get a full season under his belt at a lower premier league team. Never know he might stay fit elsewhere. A lot depends on Gallagher staying also.

30 Apr 2024 07:53:36
Not many to choose from lower prem teams.

30 Apr 2024 09:07:54
I think he is a player that gives us something going forward with his positive play. I feel there is a goal in him whenever he plays.

All he has to do is stay fit as do half of the squad who are constantly injured.

How many games gave Fofana and Lavia played since they were bought for something like £120mil. our injury record as a club is a total disgrace.

Hi Ed, any interest in Bradley Locko or Michael Kayode from Chelsea?

{Ed002's Note - Bradley Locko (LWB) Has been scouted by Liverpool, Chelsea and Bournemouth who fear losing Kerkez quickly - but any English club looking to buy him would have to sign him as an exception or pay over the odds to secure a Work Permit. One to keep an eye on for the future - a confident player but still pretty raw.

Michael Kayode has not been of interest to Chelsea.}

Believable0 0Unbelievable

25 Apr 2024 16:08:44
Thanks Ed, I wasn't aware of the work permit piece. Raw but very promising. Delivers a mean ball into the box to go along with good defending.

Surprised to hear Kayode is not on the radar!

{Ed002's Note - The club has other priorities.}

25 Apr 2024 17:24:14

With these kind of player of interest my fear for next season being same as the current one heightens. I'm not sure tge club learnt anything and ready to turn things around. No team ever gathered kiddies together and went on to win things much this present generation.
. y point is that we already have enough kiddies and should try to bring in experience and proven players to compliment the kiddies. Don't know where we're going with this strange kiddies policy. They only want to groom kiddies to sell for profits. A team that lacks leadership on the pitch is still vigorously looking for untested kid to buy. Chelsea is derailing.

Tusole I agree too many young players aren’t good but how old are Palmer and Gusto 21 and 20 and they have been fantastic. It’s more down to the coach IMO tactically we are a mess.

Agree0 0Disagree

25 Apr 2024 20:12:51
Tusole, I think unfortunately given where we are atm I doubt many of the experienced players would come here. Osimhen? Off to PSG. Alfonso Davies? Off to Real. Perhaps we should be going for Bastoni instead of Diomande but there’s not too many experienced players that come to mind who are either good enough or willing to come here imo.

Agree0 0Disagree

25 Apr 2024 20:59:59
Tusole, is there any chance you can limit the use of the word “kiddies? ”.

26 Apr 2024 00:55:46
Antonee robinson would be good, good age and knows the premier league, any interest ed002? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Yes, he is somewhere down the list of options.}

Agree0 0Disagree

26 Apr 2024 10:59:18
Balde looks good but I have to wonder how realistic it is that we would be able to sign him? I know there is always a lot of media talk about Barcelona needing to raise funds etc but so far they haven't seemed to have needed to sell any key players. Then you consider whether he would even want to join? Money talks I suppose but seems a long shot to my uninformed eyes.

{Ed002's Note - Barcelona has to reduce wages and will be selling a number of players this summer.}

Agree0 0Disagree

26 Apr 2024 11:20:22
Thanks Ed, fingers crossed we can take advantage.

One last question from me on the LB position if you don't mind - has there been any update on Chilwell's future?

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - No.}

26 Apr 2024 16:27:06
Since you mentioned Kerkez Ed002, are we interested in him?

{Ed002's Note - Milos Kerkez (LWB) Only joined in the summer after picking Bournemouth over Lazio for game time. Down the list for Chelsea who have a much preferred target. Manchester United have been sending scouts.}

25 Apr 2024 01:10:26
Ed002 any update on managerial front regarding oncoming Manager? Is tuchel actually an option? Between him and Mr Mourinho for me .
