Samuel's-Smith apparently now going on loan to Swansea. That leaves a gap for Chilly to join Strasbourg. That makes good sense to me.

Also, BM back for Jackson. I suppose that's no surprise and now the Guiu recall makes sense.

The happy hammers ask about a loan for Disasi as have Palace.

I think that would just leave Sterling and Fofana.

Agree2 Disagree2

01 Sep 2025 11:39:29
What is don't get Tom are reports saying we are back in negioations with BM.

Does that mean one or both have changed the goal posts on the proposed deal? .

The SD's will have done well if they can move Chilly and Sterling on.

01 Sep 2025 12:08:58
I think most likely was that the deal with Bayern was put on hold until CFC had secured a striker cover for Delap . and I'd never believed it was decisively over while Jackson still in Munich.

01 Sep 2025 12:10:06
Bill, If Chilly does go to Strasbourg let’s be honest it’s just an in-house loan but never the less it’s good for Chelsea and the player.

I’m getting confused about the Jackson and BM on off saga. My guess would be that we demanded that the deal become an “obligation. ” If that deal then went through it makes the Guiu recall make sense.

I think we will find a home for Fofana but it’s interesting that he was never mentioned or seen as suitable cover for Delap.

Sterling has told people that he will if needs be just train at the club as normal and be happy to receive his contractual dues. He is obviously entitled to do that. I would hope that we can find a last minute subsidised loan for him. The problem is his reluctance to move outside London.

01 Sep 2025 13:25:48
Let him rot Yom, Sterling g knows his international days are well and truely over.

01 Sep 2025 14:04:17
Bill, I actually met him some time ago a charity function and he came across as a really nice guy. Of course that doesn’t mean I would want him to stay at the club.

Anyway, if rumours are to be believed, Fulham may come to our rescue on probably a heavily subsidised loan.

01 Sep 2025 15:25:36
Our latest Lukaku.

01 Sep 2025 15:44:21
Bill, Lukaku and Bogarde, there names still give me the shivers!

Most clubs have had one or two of those players but they are experienced business men, there was no need to rush.

01 Sep 2025 18:02:22
harsh on sterling- yes he hasn't worked out but nothing to suggest he's behaved badly.

think its a case of bad business from us buying him on his decline- not the players fault we make questionable signings at times. he gets far too much bad press imo.

01 Sep 2025 18:38:30
Kaz, I seem to remember a few posters giving Sterlings personality some stick when we signed him but I also seem to remember Ed002 putting the record straight.

I can only repeat he came across as a really nice bloke when I met him. Of course other people may well have had a different experience.

I certainly don’t blame him for negotiating a good deal when he signed for us.

02 Sep 2025 11:17:50
Tom, I was one of those against signing Sterling for various reasons. As another poster stated his international career is over so there is no motivation for him to play. He is entitled to sit out his contract. most people would probably do the same. It’s all water under the bridge. Lukaku also an expensive mistake but we managed to secure a coupe of loan deals and eventually got him off our books. I suppose there might be a chance of something in January.

01 Sep 2025 09:24:04
Interesting to see that Munich did not change the deal to an obligation in order to secure Jackson, which makes me think they were never going to sign him permanently.

There are rumours that they are now after Lookman for a loan with an obligation. Probably, they know Italian clubs will not allow them to take the mickey out of them.

Agree2 Disagree2

01 Sep 2025 10:47:01
Very hrd to know what to believe from the various rumours/ sources online Bill.

01 Sep 2025 11:08:07
I think the rumours are the fun part of the transfer windows.

Bill, if it’s true and at the last minute the club demanded an obligation rather than an option is that a good thing or a bad thing?

I’m happy about Jackson returning to the club but then I didn’t want us to sell or loan him. I must admit I admit I’m confused about the Guiu situation.

01 Sep 2025 12:10:20
He was highly unlikely to return Tom given how and why he left imho.

31 Aug 2025 22:52:02
Kellyman reportedly going out on loan to Cardiff City.

I really hope this loan gives the lad the opportunity to get over his major injury issue.

Agree2 Disagree2

01 Sep 2025 08:13:32
good move for him tom he needs to play.

01 Sep 2025 08:56:35
Agreed Tom

Let's hope he stays fit.

01 Sep 2025 10:47:55
Yes agreed and can only hope for the best for a young player who has had such a difficult injury hit time since joining us.

31 Aug 2025 21:27:33
The Jackson deal is officially off and is flying back to London.

Agree2 Disagree2

31 Aug 2025 22:08:35
Quite right too Bill.

31 Aug 2025 23:04:56
I believe Jackson is still in Munich?

01 Sep 2025 06:42:08
JBS, it is being reported that BM have told him he has to return to CFC.

Plenty of twists and turns to come no doubt.

01 Sep 2025 08:01:52
No more twists Tom, my heart can't take it. Let's stick now apart from Sterling, Chilly, Desasi and any more i have forgotten.

01 Sep 2025 08:13:56
I think jackson will be sold today persoanlly.

01 Sep 2025 08:29:01
Jackson saga not over yet but has to be by this evening. Still think he will leave not return to us and that it may still be to Bayern.

But who knows?!

Would have loved fermin lopez signing as would really have improved us but then so would a top notch CB addition or GK though TC and Tosin have done pretty well so far. we are just a bit thin there.

30 Aug 2025 16:40:57
Apparently the Jackson loan has been called off. I assume because of the Delap injury.

I didn't want us to loan/ sell Jackson so I suppose, if true, I should be happy.

I'm not sure Jackson will be and I'm not sure it's a good look. Who cares!

Agree1 Disagree1

30 Aug 2025 17:40:59
Totally agree Tom, we have to look after CFC first.

31 Aug 2025 12:15:49
Problem though if Jackson who. let's face it is a passionate headstrong player not wanting to come back or accept professional role in needing to do this after club had apparently been happy to let him leave either temporarily or preferably permanently? There are past players like a Kante or Mata who am sure would have been v disappointed in NJ position but had temperament to always help team mates wherever playing and be professional and not let own ego rule their head or behaviour. So they seldom if ever got sent off and were pretty universally respected and rightly so in the game as were also excellent players. With NJ I'm not so sure and bringing him back may not be the wisest move for us or him. We'll see what happens soon enough I guess.

31 Aug 2025 12:22:42
I see Liverpool fans are commenting on their banter page, would have thought they would have their minds on issue and Guhei.

31 Aug 2025 16:15:58
Bill, I’m now home and I decided to have some football bets. If the gooners win today I will be collecting a nice few quid.
So far this season I think the scousers have been average but they are my pick to win the league and they could easily turn it on today.

Anyway, they shouldn’t be worrying about what we do!

31 Aug 2025 18:19:53
Done me money but whooosh what a strike. That goal deserves to win a game but I’m still not impressed with either of them.

31 Aug 2025 19:21:28
People have been saying this about Liverpool since Slot took over. They seem to have a real knack, under him, of looking nothing special for most of the game, but winning winning winning.

31 Aug 2025 20:20:53
EdW, without doubt it’s a good habit.

01 Sep 2025 10:54:00
Szoboszlai is quite a player and as well as that fantastic free jkick goal he played one immensely long crossfield pass - 80 metres? - that landed at the feet of attacking LFC player.

I thought much of the game was quite dull but due to two pretty good teams cancelling each other out and not wanting to lose. Took a fantastic piece of magic from the Hungarian to break the deadlock.

Yes beacuse of the nature of the game neither LFC or AFC overwhelmed with dominant free flowing play but I reckoned I was looking at number 1 LFC and 2 AFC come end of season. Hope I'm wrong though Ed001 may well hope I'm right?!

28 Aug 2025 11:54:50
Looks like Nkunku is off to Milan and Simons is heading to Spuds.

Agree1 Disagree1

28 Aug 2025 13:56:46
I think the Nkunku deal looks done but wouldn’t it be funny if Simmons said no to the spuds.

28 Aug 2025 14:03:29
Apparently he has travelled to London Tom, they got closer than us, we could not get him out of his bed.

28 Aug 2025 15:12:06
Bill, I seem to remember you and others on here didn't think we needed him? have you now changed your mind because he is might go to Spurs?

28 Aug 2025 15:16:16
Bill, that would make It funnier if true and very Willian like.

28 Aug 2025 15:27:35
If BL are getting close to there asking price, then well done them. If we are sticking to our valuation, then well done us. If the player decides to go to the spuds, then lucky them because he is what they need.

Good player in my opinion.

28 Aug 2025 18:21:48
Tom

I still don't think we need him but can not understand why we just did not walk away sooner. Who knows we might still get him.

We also don't need Garnacho due to his attitude but I'm sure the club doesn't really take too much notice of what I say.

28 Aug 2025 18:23:30
Tom

I agree, I'm happy to stick to our valuation of a player but that should ho for selling as well.

28 Aug 2025 20:53:20
Bill. We are just fans who pick up news and stories for at beat unreliable sources. We have very little idea about our selling or buying valuations. In my opinion we should just treat these windows as a big of fun. Enjoy the rumours and get pi@@ed off with the facts.

28 Aug 2025 22:00:04
You are probably right Tom, nothing us fans can do about signings or sales.

29 Aug 2025 20:36:17
I’ve no real problem with Simons going to Spurs - they definitely need a (fit) AM and its not a priority for us when we could play Palmer, Pedro, Estevao or Enzo in the 10 role.

On that basis, a bit surprised with the proposed loan move for Buonanotti from Brighton then.

Garnacho? I just struggle to get excited to be honest. Think I’d rather hold on to George to be honest, and PSR/ pure profit should be less of a consideration this summer if that’s the driver there.

29 Aug 2025 21:07:37
FD, george was in our conference league squad so counts towards balancing the books for uefa and therefore registering new signings in the UCL. I think that’s the driving point - not PSR.

29 Aug 2025 21:53:14
FD, Apparently we have been long time admirers of Garnacho.

The Simmons supposed interest wWas interesting as I rate the player and I saw him as a challenge to Palmer. It was pointed out to me that we now have several players who can challenge Palmer. I guess that it true as you pointed out as much in your post.

30 Aug 2025 09:43:42
Absolutely Tom, never was a need for Simmons.

31 Aug 2025 16:27:24
Bill, I am a massive Simmons fan but the point my mates and you make are very reasonable.

I think it was just wishful thinking on my part.

27 Aug 2025 10:15:58
Fermin Lopez, Xavi Simmons or keep Nkunku?
Garnacho or keep Tyrique George?
Hincapie or Josh?

Just some of the discussions the sporting directors and Maresca will be having.

Jackson, George and Nkunku are all training with the main group and it will be a seamless move back into the fold if they don't get their desired moves away.

Disasi is off to Bournemouth and loans will likely be found for Datro Fofana and Alfie Gilchrist which just leaves Sterling and Chilly.

Agree2 Disagree2

27 Aug 2025 13:41:48
Greenaway

I would keep all of Josh, George, Nkunku and Jackson.

It's late in the window and any players we might get will have to have a settling in period.

Our players on rhe other hand know the club and systems Maresca plays.

28 Aug 2025 08:00:21
Would definately keep Josh,
Would keep Nkunku but he is off
Jackson would sell or keep but not a fan of a loan unless there is an obligation to buy
George wants to go and he will Garnacho not a fan of but he is clearly coming.

28 Aug 2025 10:07:56
I think Hincape will be another Arsenal signing? Josh almost certain to stay unless sudden turnaround by club and a late CB purchase. But would imagine Josh would be a loan deal and still thin k that cos of Fofana and BB injury problems club - well amanger certainly - would want Josh to stay.

Garnacho almost certain to be another CFC signing whether we want/ need him or not. No doubt he has talent but yes we worry about attitude and whether we are making a mistake re George. Simons not as certain to be CFC signing as it seemed a week ago but still could be and Lopez may be a better bet if we are signing but one of them but can't claim to have watched either enough to be sure about respective talents of either,

Nkunku and George almost certain to go and Jackson very likely whethet via loan to Bayern or still a late straight purchase by Newcastle if Isak to LFC goes through.

28 Aug 2025 10:18:29
We don’t need Lopez. Simons or Garnacho. I would keep Josh although I don’t think CB is his natural position. Also keep George. However, I would sell Jackson and Nkunku: we probably need the money to balance our transfers as we won’t be making any meaningful money from the others who should go.

28 Aug 2025 21:13:58
I can’t recall seeing Lopez. I guess I must of done.

I would appreciate your opinion Ed or anyone else?

{Ed001's Note - I have only seen a little of him, but he does look a very good player.}

28 Aug 2025 21:27:51
Thanks Ed.

{Ed001's Note - welcome Tom.}

26 Aug 2025 00:52:08
Hi Ed, any truth to Jackson to Bayern rumours?

{Ed001's Note - I don't know. I did ask someone who should know but they haven't got back to me yet and I didn't want to just leave you waiting on an answer.}

Agree3 Disagree2

25 Aug 2025 08:43:01
Any of the ed, s have a slight hint on if chelsea might be tempted by pierre hincapie with all the out goings and disasi close to bournmouth could this be something the club look at or are we throwing faith into what we have not sure if hincapie is even that good? is he left sided cb or right.

{Ed001's Note - Hincapie is a left sided defender, he can also play in midfield and at full-back. But he plays in a back 3 and I have never seen him play in a back four set up. I do personally rate him and think he would be a good signing, but I don't know if you are going for him.}

Agree2 Disagree2

25 Aug 2025 10:44:12
great thanks edd i guess it would affect a lot if we did as wed have tosin, acheampong, fofana and chalobah fighting for 2 spots and levi back in the new year id imagine the move would only happen if acheampong or trevoh would be sold don't see either happening, saw he was linked to spurs, they definetly need cover with romero and van de vens absence/ injury issues.

{Ed001's Note - and the fact that Romero and van de Ven are not very good.}

25 Aug 2025 12:27:08
I think there both solid enough cbs romero is a liability do he's liable of losing the plot at ahy stage VVD relies on his pace a lot.

{Ed001's Note - don't rate either. Romero is rash and wild and a liability. Van de Ven is very poor defensively and wholly reliant on his pace. If players had skill like they used to, they would love taking him on as he is hopeless one on one. Sadly these days skill is mostly coached out of players.}

25 Aug 2025 16:11:58
Yeah agree i guess with what your saying, its just when both play they seem to improve the team and whem there both missing totenham just fall to pieces that's kind of what i was going off more than what iv seen, i love when we play spurs do romero is a gaurentee to do something crazy?.

25 Aug 2025 21:07:10
Romero is a truly awful player and the longer he atays at spurs the happier I will be. Looking good for you guys tonight ED, you were being played off the park until Gordan did Romero things.

20 Aug 2025 10:24:02
Wes Fofana has deleted everything relating to Chelsea on his instagram account! Any news chatters?

Agree2 Disagree2

20 Aug 2025 13:58:03
He pressed the wrong button?

17 Aug 2025 22:24:52
I should have mentioned that a fellow ST holder at the match today told me that Potter wants Sterling. West Ham have asked about a subsidised loan but we are waiting to see if there any last min offers.

Apparently Fulham also asked but they are waiting on an answer from an alternative target.

Agree2 Disagree2

26 Aug 2025 06:54:03
Reason it appears as I have issues with the English players. Can't sterling contract be cancelled like other players. It bad enough that he's given a criminal contract with the English hype and favouritism but no club wants him. Things are just different for English players in the epl. They are given undue advantage. Whoever that was responsible for sterling for Chelsea should be made to face certain consequences.

29 Aug 2025 10:52:37
Any deal for a contract buy out has to satisfy both parties. My guess is that Chelsea have discussed that possibility with Sterling.

English players and homegrown rules I assume that something similar applies to all the different leagues?

I think the initial “statement” signings were mainly a disaster. In my opinion there was no need to rush but eventually the new owners are getting there act together.
