Bit disappointed in the news or rumours of nkunku considering options as being a back up / bit part player. Brilliant player, I'd say our best finisher actually, but his not getting ahead of Cole palmer and isn't a winger or a no9. I'd imagine he has plenty of options I just hope he stays and gets game time and sticks around.
1.) 11 Nov 2024 17:24:40
If true, it's a big shame Todd B.
Nobody likes playing 'second fiddle', espically good players and I would imagine he won't be the last to be unsettled this season.
2.) 11 Nov 2024 18:09:35
I can understand the “second fiddle” argument but it’s very likely that we will play well over sixty games this season including the WCC. I can see Nkunku playing more than 30 of those games. Football squads are changing in my opinion and while certain players apparently want playing time guarantees, I’m pleased that as a club that’s something, as far as I know, we have never given a player.
3.) 11 Nov 2024 20:39:33
The problem with Nkunku is that he is a bit of another Havertz type player, still not sure what his best position is as I don't see him as an out and out number 9.
4.) 12 Nov 2024 13:11:01
Players will always come and go. Not sure if it is just papers and lazy journo's putting stories out there but either way if he goes we will replace him. As whitey said he is not really a 9 and is mainly competing with Palmer for the 10 role. If he does go Gyokores or Osminhen would be a nice replacement and they are proper 9's to compete with Jackson. That said, I really like Jackson and don't want to see him unsettled. Lovely to be sitting 3rd in the table talking about how to improve the squad though. What a difference from last season.
5.) 12 Nov 2024 15:36:07
I also really like Jackson West Side and you’re right what a difference this year has been finally the feel good factor has come back to Stamford Bridge. Can’t believe only 3 points separates 3rd to 11th. Think the obvious position to improve is a goalkeeper and if were being ruthless a centre half to partner Colwill.
6.) 12 Nov 2024 20:10:49
The difference is the attitude of fans, we are 3rd and 3 points of being 11th, if we were 11th there would be nothing but negativity and no mention of only being 3points of 3rd
We saw few glimpses, the gusto chance and fofana chance from crosses. Those crosses would be goals with a osimhen or gyorkeres, Jackson isn’t crashing the box or competing for those type headers where those two mentioned hang back and love to go for them front or back post
Few murmurs KDH and Felix both becoming frustrated with lack of time,
7.) 15 Nov 2024 12:46:15
KDH was a really strange signing and hopefully he moves on soon. Just not at the level we require.
8.) 15 Nov 2024 12:57:11
International break so lots of rumours because journalists have to have a story!
9.) 19 Nov 2024 08:05:21
Agree eest side KDH.
10.) 22 Nov 2024 14:52:19
Whyteleafe I really don't think even colwill is ready for Chelsea at this time. We need defenders who can defend. Thought tosin would have been pairing with colwill for being English not being better than the others. Sanchez is average at the best which will cost us in big matches due to little details. Striker if nkuku is leaving, cb and a goalkeeper to challenge for tittles.
11.) 22 Nov 2024 15:36:15
What on earth has a player being “English” got to do with anything?
12.) 23 Nov 2024 12:07:33
He’s better than a sub unfortunately it will bite enzo in the arse in the end as he will go we really require a world class forward but his love for Janet up front will stop strikers thinking of joining.
13.) 28 Nov 2024 04:51:29
I wonder if Enzo's wife knows he's in love with Janet!
14.) 29 Nov 2024 15:00:50
Love it Kiwi!

we all thought the full back inverting would go into the DM position but infact they've been higher than that, cuccurella has been good but as an attacking POV, him gusto James haven't showed there good enough in that attacking position. Ait nouri would be ideal for that role, frimpong an also but he is on the right and we have enough options there.
1.) 22 Nov 2024 13:19:30
Todd B with James injured yet again, I'm wondering if we really di have enough at RB, if Gusto gets injured we will struggle in that position.
2.) 22 Nov 2024 15:38:07
Disasi could fill in for a while but is not a long term solution.
3.) 22 Nov 2024 16:44:43
Really don't like Desasi in that position Tom, he always looks uncomfortable there.
4.) 22 Nov 2024 19:54:29
Bill I’m not a fan of his in any position but the club can’t be expected to have more than two genuine RB’s albeit one of them is going through a bad run of injuries.
5.) 23 Nov 2024 07:58:13
Tom
Reece's bad run of injuries has been going on now for a few seasons and Gusto also picks up injuries himself albeit no where near Reece's record.
This is why I believe we are not well stocked in that position.
6.) 23 Nov 2024 15:08:07
I think Fofana did ok today.
Obviously he would struggle against top wingers, but I was still impressed.
7.) 23 Nov 2024 15:26:56
Fofana did do OK but we were playing a v weak Leicester team who may not have had shot on target before their late penalty.
Sanchez still so worrying when ball at feet and passing out.
Enzo deserves his MoM great effort since he was effectively playing Wednesday morning UK time for Argentina.
8.) 23 Nov 2024 18:49:57
We have aceampong, show him there’s path with Reece body not being able to cope and get him to sign a deal. The most exciting season was when the young players were forced to be given chance, if there’s a slight slight positive it’s er have an academy that produces good players,
15 Nov 2024 12:04:49
The David Cooke video is terrible but not shocking, I suppose as long as he was fair whilst doing his job his career might be salvageable, actually think mark clattenberg admitting he should of sent 2-3 players off but didn't on purpose because he didn't want headlines is far more unacceptable and he went on and has a career in media.
1.) 15 Nov 2024 13:06:27
My guess would be his refereeing career is over. He has brought it all on himself but I have no problems with him having an opinion on Klopp. I do have a slight Issue with the general scouser comment and a bigger issue with a persons nationality be any factor.
The so called line of gear video isn’t good but any addiction can be treated and that wouldn’t be a reason for him to lose his job.
I have no idea if he has made poor decisions in Liverpool games but I don’t believe in conspiracy theories unless it’s Anthony Taylor.
2.) 15 Nov 2024 13:33:45
In the immortal words of Rick James, 'Cocaine's a hell of a drug. '
3.) 15 Nov 2024 21:53:14
I feel for him a bit to be honest was probably having a chat what he thought was in a safe place probably got a bit carried away as we all do and now going to lose his job. At the end of the day none of us are perfect and he deserves a second chance in my opinion. It was nice to see one the premier league referees come across as actually human for once and tbf he's got a point about Jurgen Klopp.
4.) 17 Nov 2024 08:10:27
TomB, the scouser comment wasn’t made by him but the other person in the vid. I’m a bit undecided about the whole vid tbh. If I had klopp or any manager shouting in my face id probably have a few unkind words to say about them especially if I was drunk or otherwise inebriated.
Refs have a thankless task and aren’t liked by fans/ managers/ anyone, so letting off steam in friendly company is to be expected (although not wise in this case) .
On the German C-word, it’s hard to call someone a xénophobe based off one comment. We use descriptors in every day life so it’s hard to tell whether he used German as a descriptor or was being xenophobic.
The Liverpool fans will look at the few decisions that didn’t go their way and point to it being down to this apparent bias but you’d need to analyse his decision making across all games to see whether it was bias or just incompetency.
It definitely shouldn’t be just swept under the rug though, he should seek treatment if he has an addiction and hopefully this could potentially be a catalyst to better ref performances which have been getting worse year on year.
5.) 17 Nov 2024 08:47:43
In my opinion a very good well balanced summary Fuser.
6.) 17 Nov 2024 09:46:00
I think the Coutes issue has been blown out of proportion . Yes he has probably stepped over the line and will probably lose his job but I don’t hold with all those conspiracy theories. In any event most of us would agree that Klopp is a “toothy c***. Whether we like it or not referees and other match officials are integral to the game particularly in the lower levels of the football pyramid. i used to like watching the Italian ref Collina. Sometimes he was the best entertainment on the pitch in those Seria A games in the nineties.
7.) 17 Nov 2024 13:06:07
There are more videos that have surfaced since this comment, fyi.
11 Nov 2024 14:30:26
Thought palmer tried to get the headline today, didn't play poorly but was selfish at times and tried to do things alone, which is understandable to a degree but this game and united, the decision making by him seemed off, good rest hopefully and ready for Leicester city after int break,
1.) 11 Nov 2024 15:08:49
Would be nice if some players got a rest from international duty but understandably they all value playing for their country.
2.) 11 Nov 2024 17:49:07
On top of a few other players for rival teams being “ injured “ but likely fine for next prem games, caceido and enzo will have some travelling back from South America for an early Saturday KO v Leicester so it would be nice if some these players didn’t play or play very de minutes and come back fresh that would be good, I see fofana isn’t going away with France as precaution.
3.) 11 Nov 2024 18:14:11
I seem to remember that Caicedo’s fixtue was on the Tuesday but Enzo’s was the Wednesday.
4.) 11 Nov 2024 19:23:38
Levi and Palmer have both withdrawn from the England squad and Moises is suspended for 1 game so only plays once.
5.) 11 Nov 2024 20:47:08
Thanks for the update West Side. Being selfish I waist Caicedo wasn’t available for there second game.
10 Nov 2024 17:24:10
Caceido is actually phenomenal. Utterly superb player,
1.) 10 Nov 2024 18:40:56
Moises Was Chelsea's MOM today, Neto and Cucu also good
Thought we played fine today against a good side thought Arsenal shaded it
The keeper is a worry at fault for the goal and this needs sorting ASAP.
2.) 10 Nov 2024 18:48:28
He is.
3.) 10 Nov 2024 18:57:20
The goalkeeper on the other hand if terrible.
4.) 10 Nov 2024 19:09:23
Yep, absolutely. Caicedo is a Rolls Royce of a player. Neto showing the way to the other technical players of your duties without the ball. Looks like a really good signing. Cucurella who I have hammered on here was also terrific, he has went up a notch since the Euros. Arsenal were more measured in possession with everyone able to play quick combinations without even looking. Mind you trying to play through Sanchez to get things going is to say the least pushing your luck. He needs to go. Both the back post headers in the first half should have been buried, but a great equaliser.
5.) 10 Nov 2024 19:46:07
I was definitely referring to Moises as magnificent as was Cucurella again but think I might just give MoM to Neto not just for his goal but all round goal threat he gave throughout the game plus some good defensive work too.
Though Gusto better today than in some recent games but has yet to regain attacking edge of last season. LC and Fofana generally did pretty well too.
Jackson worked his socks 9ff and clearly worried the Arsenal defense. Mudueke a bit better today but and Palmer had some v good moments but also some wasteful ones. I still remain a little underwhelmed by Lavia' s contribution overall . and virtually his first touch today was giving the ball away . but in general he didn't make as many mistakes and occasionally played some neat passes.
Sanchez also underwhelms but he did pull off one vital save near the end albeit with his shoulder!
Overall a pretty decent team performance though again we didn't create enough that really tested their keeper. Arsenal must have had more good chances missed I think and almost won it at the end. We got a draw at home against them last season after being 2-0 up so today felt better on as much as we hit back soon after their goal.
6.) 10 Nov 2024 20:12:49
Totally agree about Caicedo and Curcurella, both superb players and brilliant finds by the club. Neto was also fantastic and now deserves to start on that right hand side where he is more effective. Another great signing. I also think Enzo F deserves a shout coming off the bench with another assist. That is 4 assists for him this week.
Also in keeping with the above comments we do need a new keeper to take us to that next level.
7.) 10 Nov 2024 21:11:38
West side, we definitely need a a top class keeper. I regard us as a team in transition, with two or three top signings we could make a big splash next season. Personally, I think City, Arsenal and Liverpool are not much to shout about; none of them will get close to winning the Champions League.
8.) 10 Nov 2024 22:24:38
I agree Jimbo, a top keeper has to be the priority.
9.) 11 Nov 2024 00:43:15
Yeah Caceido is a baller. Like others have said end up walking away quite happy with a draw especially being 1 nil down and a draw was probably a fair result.
Think everyone played pretty well and I know Sanchez has to be questioned for the goal but other than that I thought he did okay.
Weve had a rotten run of games recently and still up there sitting third in the prem which Im pretty buzzin about.
10.) 11 Nov 2024 04:50:34
It’s a shame we now have an international break.
I’m reasonably happy with our early season performances.
The criticism of Sanchez is in my opinion valid but some other players didn’t cover themselves in glory in the lead up to there goal.
Caicedo is looking like a dominant force in midfield but his task is made easier when a player like Lavia gives such a disciplined performance as a DM.
I would also like to say that our manager is impressing me. Not just tactically but also the way he handles the media and importantly how he seems to value the Chelsea supporters.
11.) 11 Nov 2024 09:16:39
Tom Lavia was disciplined in terms of positioning but doesn't offer much else yet at least. Hope he will in time and he mat possibly be still struggling a bit cos of injury? He is not yer the player who so impressed at Southampton nor as yet acreal Rolls Royce as holding midfielder but do take the point that latter the role he was likely asked to perform yesterday.
12.) 11 Nov 2024 12:56:51
JBS, I think that’s because we are asking him to sit as a DM and that wasn’t the case when he was at Southampton. Lavia hardly moving outside of the centre circle gives Caicedo more freedom.
07 Nov 2024 11:25:51
Gyorkeres showing why he will be a top target for 5/ 6 teams come the summer, wow, such a strong player.
12 Nov 2024 20:10:49
The difference is the attitude of fans, we are 3rd and 3 points of being 11th, if we were 11th there would be nothing but negativity and no mention of only being 3points of 3rd

05 Nov 2024 23:27:27
I’ve quoted the comments I hope they are posted in time, , wasn’t made up, he said if after playing casedei DM, barrow or conference league game I can’t recall, is west side of the shed G8? Anyway, wasn’t made up, maresca said it and there’s still interest in tchoumeni so I’d say there is something in it.
05 Nov 2024 19:39:25
Maresca hints that he needs/ wants a more physical number six in the future:
“This season we use Cesare as a holding midfielder, Football is going in a direction where probably in the middle you need physicality player”.
02 Nov 2024 23:21:11
I feel enzo maybe perfectly suited to Madrid and la liga, and tchoumeni be the physical no6 maresca mentioned few weeks back,
29 Oct 2024 18:17:11
The rumours from Portugal are gyorkeres is available for €60-€70m despite having €100m RC.

Goal in European final
Assist in European semi final
Goal in super cup final
4 goals v Manchester United last season
1 v Manchester City
1 v arsenal
1 v Tottenham
2 v Newcastle this season / last
2 x semi final of league cup
1 x quarter final of fa cup
Over 30 goal contributions in first regular season
He turns up in big games but is too relied upon as not enough goals come from enzo noni mudryk Lavia caceido Felix, Jackson possibly included
Goals from set pieces, days of ivanovic James chillwell alonso Terry carvalho Cahill luiz getting 4/ 5/ 6 goals each a season would cover some of the burden or expectations of fans on him,
22 Oct 2024 13:39:34
Apologies, when I refer to it as almost must win I mean in regards to noise about his appointment, the media pressure so to speak, if we don’t get a result the talk of how good can we do this season turns to “ Chelsea faced 3 top teams and lost all “.
